First of all I would like to say thanks to God, for his consent that we are able to gather here to perform activities in social work as our moral responsibility and duty to help the community. We are here today purposely to carry out a charity job to collect money to help the poor and needy citizens of our small city. As our prophet Muhammad said narrated by sahih al Bukhari in volume 9 page 497, Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to people As THE COMMITTY, we realize that THE DRUG ADDICTS AND CRIMES ARE INCREASING. AS RESIDENTS , IT IS OUR DUTY TO WORK TOGETHER AND PLAN SOME STRATEGIES IN HANDLING THESE PROBLEMS Ladies and gentlemen, Realising that We should thank God for our lucky and better lives. As our prophet Mohammad said narrated by Sahih Bukhari, (Each one) of you should save himself from the fire by giving even half of a date (in charity). And if you do not find a half date, then (by saying) a pleasant word (to your brethren). Realizing this we, as the NGOs in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department have been conducting surveys and censuses of the social status of this citys citizens to ensure the quality and the difficulties of their lives. As a result, we have decided to provide fund rising and charitable activities in the hope of raising funds to reduce the burden of the poor and needy. I hope, we will work together to raise as much funds as possible to be channeled to them.

Ladies and gentlemen, With all my heart I really appreciate and welcome all of you for your commitment to take part in this social work to collect money which can help the needy. As our prophet Muhammad said narrated by al-Tharmizhi hadith 1376 Do not turn away a poor man...even if all you can

give is half a date. If you love the poor, and bring them near you. God will bring you near Him on the Day of Resurrection. There are many ways which we can do to help the poor and needy. Firstly, we will hold a charity sale by collecting the waste materials for recycling sales. Next, we will have sales of food and various consumer goods by buying tickets or tokens. We can also provide a funfair and charity performance. On behalf of the society, I really hope that the citizens of this city will work together so that our programs will succeed. I believe that there are many philanthropists among us who would like to personally donate in cash or in the form of daily essential goods. Besides that, our charity association will also initiate an appeal to apply for assistance to build the houses for these people from The Honorable Member of Parliament Batu Pahat and call the Bersamamu TV3 Program to help the ten families of our city who are really weak and three of them, their homes are too old and no longer habitable. We hope that our efforts to help them will be successful. As the Prophet Muhammad said, narrated by Imam Bukhari, Those who undertake the assistance (aid) for widows and the poor like the fight in Allah and the people like the evening prayers. It does not feel as tired and they also like people who never break their fast. Lastly, let us think of the quote from CORRIE TEN BOOM THE MEASURE OF A LIFE, AFTER ALL, IS NOT ITS DURATION, BUT ITS DONATION
