As discussed in my previous blog , Desktop Intelligence is decommissioned and is no more part of SAP BO 4.0 release and support of DeskI has been withdrawn as well. Customer has to migrate their existing DeskI reports to Interactive Analysis XI 4.0 formerly known as Web Intelligence . Report conversion tool is used to migrate DeskI reports to Interactive Analysis reports. What is Report Conversion Tool? The Report Conversion Tool converts SAP Business Objects Desktop Intelligence XI R2 and XI 3.0 reports to Interactive Analysis XI 4.0 format and publishes the converted reports to the XI 4.0 CMS. It retrieves reports from the source Central Management Server (CMS) into the Public, Favorites or Inbox folders. After conversion, you can publish to the same folder as the original Desktop Intelligence report or to a different folder. Prerequisite: Use Upgrade manager (formerly known as Import Wizard) to migrate dependencies to BO XI 4.0 CMS repository. Dependencies include Folder(s), Objects, Universe(s) and other application objects. It is recommended to use Upgrade manager prior to Desktop Intelligence report conversion. Otherwise you may not be able to refresh your interactive analysis report due to unavailability of folder structure and objects in the destination of your Interactive Analysis report. Benefits End User will be able to save project locally and on Enterprise Repository as well in .wid format. Online, Offline and Standalone connectivity options with Interactive Analysis reporting tool. Following are new features you will obtain after report conversion: Query on Query Fold/Unfold Show/Hide Fit to Page Report Conversion Tool allows auditing of your converted reports. Note: The tool does not convert all Desktop Intelligence features and reports. The level of conversion depends on the features in the original report. Some features prevent the report from being converted. Other features are modified, re-implemented, or removed by the tool during conversion. The tool assigns one of three statuses to each report: Fully Converted Partially Converted
