Method of Application:
Sedum Tiles: Remove vegetative mats from trays and install directly over a minimum 2 freshly wetted growth media. Maintain good overall contact with the media avoiding gaps between and beneath the mats. Apply additional media over the installed mats if necessary and water thoroughly. Plant Plugs: Tap or shake the trays to loosen the plugs. Dump out the plugs or gently push from the bottom of the tray to remove. Install directly into a minimum 3 moist growing media and immediately water to settle. Planting in a triangular pattern will provide the most uniform coverage.

Sedum Cuttings: Scatter cuttings by hand evenly and directly over a minimum 2 freshly wetted growth media at coverage rate of 200 -250 lb/1000 sq ft. Prepare hydro mulch containing mulch, tackifier, light fertilizer, and water. Mulch mix: 50 lb of mulch for 100 gallons of water and 0.25 lb of 55-5 fertilizer per 1000 sq ft. Dry mulch may be used as an alternative, containing 50 lb of mulch for each 1000 sq ft and 0.25 lb of 5-5-5 fertilizer per 1000 sq ft. For dry mulch application hand spread the cuttings approximately inch at surface. Initial maintenance requires watering periodically and weeding as needed. Sedum Blankets: Install the day of delivery. Use rakes and shovels to level growing media evenly and compact with a 250 lb lawn roller. Have flat top carts available capable of handling 2500 lb. As the crane lifts the pallets to the roof, drop pallets on flat top carts and move close to the install area. With two people, place the roll carefully on the media. Stagger the mats (similar to bricks in a wall). Unroll the mats gently, staying straight on course. Try to avoid walking on the mats. Cut mats with box cutters, pairing knives or other sharp devices to match roof profile. After installation, water the mats thoroughly with sprinkler. Maintain by periodic watering, weeding and fertilizing.

Definitions:
Plugs are post-planted and grown in tray containers in small clusters that are easy to place in the growth media on the roof top. 4 Potted Plants are post-planted and grown in tray containers that are easy to place in the growth media on the roof top. Sedum Cuttings may be used for overplanting plug installations, filling in sparse areas, as well as tile or mat production. Pre-Grown plugs, potted plants or cuttings are pre-grown for 10 to 12 weeks in trays with the proper growth media prior to installation on the roof top. Pre-Planted supports the pre-planting of Sedum Tiles with the proper growth media prior to installation on the roof top. This requires 4 to 6 weeks for establishment of the plant root system. Sedum Tiles are pre-vegetated 15 X 20 tiles containing a mix of plants suitable for the indigenous area. Each tile includes brightly colored foliage, flowers and colors that blend well together Sedum Blankets are rolls consisting of a coconut fiber blanket, a layer of substrate and various sedum species everything ready to install on the roof top.
