Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

When we fill our minds with the Word of God our thoughts will be good and clean.

Philippians 4:8, Whatsoever things are true and honest, just, pure, lovely; whatsoever things are of a good reportthink on these things.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastors Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

I will not be conformed to this world but I will be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Romans 12:2 God is a spirit and I must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 When I have believed on Jesus as my Savior and received him, the Sprit Himself bears witness with my spirit that I am a child of God. Romans 8:16

If we want our minds to be changed to think like God wants us to think, we have to start washing our minds with the Word of God. His Word will start taking the place of the dirty stuff from the world. When bad thoughts come into our minds we should kick them out and replace them with the Word of God. It is easy to think good things when life is going our way, but when friends, or even family, do mean things to us we have to choose to think right thoughts. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers because of their jealousy. Even then, he kept his thoughts pure and right and God promoted Joseph to a place that gave him influence and power. God used all this to allow Joseph to save those same brothers from starving to death. Thinking God-thoughts puts us in position to help others. God always loves.
