6th Grade Unit 1 Project: Whats Your Favorite Number?

Task: Your first project this year, in math, requires you to choose a number between 10 and 100 then find several facts about it. Throughout this unit we have learned about factors, multiples and direct relationships numbers have with one another. It is your turn to present information you gather about your number in the form of a poem, short story or poster. Numbers are all around us and without even realizing it you use them every day. When you present your findings you must make a connection to real life situations. One example you can use with your number might be in relation to monetary transactions, such as coupons or percents.
