Rating Notes: The wheel that is rated best in a given variable within its category (Multi-Purpose, Aero/Ultralight...) automatically receives full points in that variable (20 out of 20, 10 out of 10) and all other
models are rated in comparison. Being rated best in a category does not mean that a wheel is perfect in regards to this variable, it means that it is currently the best of the wheels rated. We rate in whole
numbers whenever possible, but periodically have to use decimals in categories like weight. Tubular vs. Clincher is not given any bias in Aero/Ultralight Category while clinchers are given a 1 point automatic
upgrade in the Multi-Purpose Category (under Versatility) as they are the more accepted standard in this category. Only wheels that have 60mm or less rim depth are rated in the Multi-Purpose Category.
Price is not factored into any ratings.
