As a graduate from PNU 2 years ago, I realize something less to us as a MUSIC Teacher, yes; we are not a performer but skills particularly musical skills will help you more in making the student understand the concept of music. I would like to point out that, students today are not like the student before, some of them particularly in the public school dont have an idea what a music class is, dont think that the students know everything about music. It is important for the BSE Music students to assess first the students learning in music. And as for my suggestion, include more practical skills such as VOICE, more PIANO and return the GRAND RECITAL. Reinforce the strategies in teaching music (like what Ive said, students now are far different from students before). Add more teacher, 3 faculty are not enough, yes they are highly and overly qualified but as we know, different teacher have different styles in teaching like in studying voice, different teacher produces different kinds of voices. It is when Im teaching that I learn about the historical background of most of the music Im teaching. Like for example, did you know the Tchaikovskys

Piano concerto no. 1 was not a pure Russian melody despite of Tchaikovsky being a Russian, it is based on an UKRANIAN melody he heard from a beggar. Something like that, they did not discuss further details of that music. Well, I understand that we to learn on our own, but not in this way. Though, Im proud to be a graduate of PNU and Im proud of my 3 great music teacher. =) (p.s) wag niyo i-edit ito. Ito ung gusto kong sabihin. Thank you for taking time to fill out this questionnaire.
