1 Cor 11: 23-25 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me. In the Month of November we do a lot of remembering. On November 11 we give thanks to God and remember our soldiers and Veterans and the past battles that Canada has been through. We remember the freedom we have in Canada because of their sacrifice. Many of our soldiers from earlier wars are no longer with us but there still is a concerted effort to

remember them and commit to praying for our current soldiers. As well in November a Sunday is designated as the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Again here the church is challenged to remember the many believers around the world who live in countries that are not friendly to Christians and risk being killed for their faith. All believers regardless of where they live are called to remember as well. The passage today speaks of remembering what Christ did for us as humanity. I am thankful that God sent his Son to pay a sacrifice for us. I am thankful as well that through the communion emblems we have symbols to remind us of the two important aspects of Christs death, His body and blood. God knows that humanity likes visuals that help us to remember what we need to remember. This month as we remember all of the things in life that we are called to remember plus these extra events in November, take some extra time and remember the greatest thing that God did for humanity. Pr. John-Mark Let us now take a minute and look back on October and thank God for the fruitful month that we had. 1 Calvin Smith from Creation Ministries joined us and challenged everyone to have a Biblical Worldview on creation. There was a large crowd from people all over Kenora and people left encouraged, inspired and challenged. 6 David Silver from Out of Zion Ministries joined us for a special Sunday Night Service. People very much enjoyed his ministry. 10 Maurice and Louise Chissel from the First Nation Restoration Centre in Lac Seul will be joining us to come and update us on the work they are doing. 16 Church Prayer Night. Plan to come to this important event. We want all attenders of Calvary Church to come. We will start at 6:30 so people with young children can come. 18 Teen Challenge Desert Night at Lakeside Baptist Church It is held at 7pm. Come bring a desert and hear some inspiring stories of God Changing lives. 23 Mens Ministry Meeting at the Church. Plan to come for 9am and have a time of food, ministry and challenge to be the man of God, God wants you to be 30 Young Families Night Out. This is open to all the families of the Church with Children. WE will meet at Curt and Courtney van Aertselaers for 5pm. This will be a time of food, fun and some teaching. Plan to come. Speak to Pastor John for more information. 13-14 We took time to be thankful, we have so much to thank God for but we dont. Let us do as the Hymn tells us to Count your blessings, name them one by one. 19 This was our monthly prayer time at the new time in the month. This is a mandatory event everyone needs to be a part of. 27 Darlene Smith from Aglow Ministries joined us. People were prayed for and ministered to. God is GOOD! 31 Our Hallelujah Night.
