COMPANY BACKGROUND HEI, Inc. specializes in value-added contract manufacturing, also known as business process outsourcing. The company operates three distinct business units, each focusing on specific target markets. For the Microelectronics Assembly business unit, the target market is North American manufacturers of microelectronic, high density interconnect (HDI) including multi-chip modules (MCMs) and eutectic assemblies for use in telecommunications, military, dental imaging, neuromodulation, hearing implants and cardiac pacing and defibrillator applications. For the Medical Device business unit, the target market is US-Based OEMs of Class II and Class III Medical Devices and related complex disposables and long-term manufacturing support for medical device design firms. For the Flex and Rigid Flex business unit, the target market is world-wide manufacturers of microelectronics that uses flex circuits for Military and High-end Communications Infrastructure, Hearing, Medical Implants and Unmanned Aircraft. POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales/Marketing will provide strategic leadership for all activities related to driving new sales growth and expansion for HEI, Inc. He or she will lead all sales/marketing activities for the company. This person will be a key member of the senior leadership team, working closely with not only the CEO, but also the Chief Financial Officer, the General Managers in each of the three facilities and other key personnel. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Key accountabilities for this position include: Participate with the leadership team and be instrumental in the development of the strategic growth plans for the company Work closely with divisional VP General Managers to ensure seamless support of sales/marketing efforts by operations

Identify and build approach to reach new customers and new sales opportunities, initiating action plans to approach and secure new business for the company Recommend realistic, reasonable and actionable goals for sales force and set and manage metrics to measure effectiveness Align sales metrics to companys strategic objectives Enhance, monitor and review sales pipelines with divisional VP General Managers and identify and follow through with plans to accelerate the close of business opportunities Enhance and manage sales forecasting and pipeline reports to ensure appropriate prospects are being targeted Analyze trends and success of new sales efforts Present to the Board of Directors as requested Identify and develop effective sales channels for new markets Identify and communicate market place trends that could impact growth objectives, both positively and negatively Own, update, and communicate strategic market identification and understanding regarding potential customers - key drivers and market players including market size, segmentation, share breakdown how well aligned are the potential customers to HEI Research and develop service offerings roadmap required to meet future growth needs, including capitalizing on market opportunities Analyze markets served by identifying customer needs, competition including their strengths and weaknesses, forecasting possible business, and develop plans to expand our customers based on the markets Branding/Messaging - 3 Uniques (continual review, update and tailor to provide differentiation that resonates with customers and prospects) Overall responsibility for communication materials and collateral Review, improve, develop and control all current presentations and data sheets (PowerPoint and PDF) for each division Expand lead generation capabilities through evaluation of current methods and making recommendations for new/varied approaches (Web site, SEO, Social Media, etc.) Champion Sales Tool Development and Implementation following Miller Heiman Strategic Selling and the effective use of Miller Heiman Blue Sheets Mentoring, Coaching and Training of sales representatives in selling process and techniques Oversee all hiring, training and firing of personnel involved in Sales and Marketing focusing on recruiting top performing sales talent with a proven ability to land new customers.

QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of professional sales and marketing management experience. MBA or other advanced degree considered a plus. It is vital that the Vice President of Sales and Marketing have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to profitably grow sales for an entrepreneurial organization. Experience in contract manufacturing environment is a must. CRM experience a must with Miller Heiman Strategic Selling experience considered a plus.

COMPENSATION The compensation for this position is highly competitive and consists of a base salary, annual performance based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
