Un Da Demasiado Significante

Al fin del ministerio de Jess, instituy la cena del Seor en la noche de la Pascua. Jess era el cordero de Dios, y sera crucificado el prximo da. Se resucit al tercer da, y luego, durante los siguientes cuarenta das, se present vivo con muchas pruebas indubitables, y habl a los apstoles acerca del reino de Dios. (23:3)] En el da de Pentecosts despus de la crucifixin y resurreccin de Jess, el evangelio fue predicado por primera vez. En ese mismo da, una cosa maravillosa ocurri: Por la primera vez, personas con fe fueron salvados por la sangre de Jess y fueron aadidas a su reino, la iglesia. Los eventos que ocurrieron en ese Pentecosts cumplieron a lo menos cuatro profecas antiguas acerca de la iglesia:

At the end of His earthly ministry, Jesus instituted the Lords Supper on the night of the Passover. Jesus was the Lamb of God, and was crucified the next day. He arose the third day, then, during the next 40 days, He presented Himself alive by many infallible proofs. Acts 1:3 Read Acts 1:4-9 Then came the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1). We dont celebrate that day, so it helps us to know something about solemn feasts of the Jews (rather, of God) Leviticus 23:4 Passover always fell on the 14th of the month, and then began the holy Feast of Unleavened Bread, which lasted seven days. The day of Pentecost (that is, the holy Feast of Weeks) always occurred on a Sunday, fifty days after the Sabbath that occurred during the Feast of Weeks. (Leviticus 23:5, 16-21) [The day of rest, or the Sabbath, was the last day of the week. (23:3)] On the Pentecost after Jesus crucifixion and resurrection, the gospel was preached for the first time. On that very day, a marvelous thing happened: For the first time, people were saved by the blood of Jesus and were added to His kingdom, the church. The events that happened on that Pentecost fulfilled at least four ancient prophecies about the church:
