The idea of having a full control over the places 3here 3e live and 3ork has al3ays 4een a fascinating su4ject to fantasi5e no matter at 3hat age6 As the technology improved in recent decades7 human 4eing gained more po3er on controlling various devices indoors. o3ever7 having this control remotely still remains an incomplete yet developing matter in industry. The 8roject entitled 9.SM BAS!0 A0:A;C!0 S!C1-IT< S<ST!MS= highlights the a4ove mentioned issue and offers 3ays to overcome this need 4y employing t3o of the most 3idely used features of today>s technology ? SMS to 4e applied as a 4ridge in 4et3een human and fully automated 4uildings7 .SM standard 3hich ensures perfect compati4ility 4et3een net3orks and mo4ile phones in any location. In this project7 the system allo3s the home o3ner to monitor and control the house appliances like fan7 motor7 AC7 light 3hich can 4e s3itched on or off via the mo4ile phone set 4y sending commands in the form of SMS and also the home o3ner can receive the appliances status. 1sing a keypad one can also add additional temporary mo4ile num4er to gain access of the micro controller. It has 4ecome a trend to integrate industries automatically via Internet and 3ireless applications over net3ork. Along 3ith the advancement of technology development7 research on 3ireless applications and remote control has 4ecome significant and popular today. Thus7 3e have designed and implemented a platform 3ith 3ireless applications and remote control using .SM system in the Mo4ile. The integration of the mo4ile control and measurement using the .SM Short Message Service @SMSA provides a platform 3here one can gain control anytime and any3here. We can monitor machine operations using .SM system. The usa4ility and economy of teaching media is apt7 since cell phones are cheap7 easy to operate and porta4le. ere each pin of logic gate IC is connected to the port pins of micro controller. ere four s3itches 3hich are used as S!%!CT7 !+IT7 I;C-!M!;T7 0!C-!M!;T are connected to %S$#&2 IC means ;A;0 .ate to connect those s3itches to interrupt. By using these s3itches 3e can change the date and time and display them on an %C0. When a message 3as received from the .SM then the micro controller 3ill display that message on %C0 at the end of the message a num4er is received 4ased on that num4er the micro controller 3ill does the coresponinding operation to that num4er like s3itching the devices /; and /BB. and the date and time of that message received is displayed on %C0 display.
