This highly accurate Hardness Tester is designed for laboratories calibrating Test Blocks. It includes Affri System technology and a fully automatic system to perform calibra-
tion in accordance with the International Standards ASTM, EN ISO- JIS .

AFFRI
system can perform automatic contact with the test piece surface without moving
the piece. It automatically moves the indenter and the measuring system until contact is made, the piece is clamped, the force applied and
indentation is measured automatically on Rockwell, Vickers or Brinell procedure.
- The system is capable of measuring accurately even if the test piece deflects up to 5 0 mm during measurement. This automatic compensation
provide accurate results under adverse test conditions.
- External source of vibration dont create any influence on result.
- The test piece is CLAMPED AUTOMATICALLY and locked in position before the test force (2 0 to 4 0 0 Kgf) is applied.
- The test forces are controlled test by test trough load cell and closed loop Affri system to assure high performance conform to ISO- JIS Standards.
- Perfect and effective measurments even at the first test with AFFRI system inside
- Accuracy is stable in every condition
- No need to be levelled when installed
- It can be utilised by everybody also not schooling people only one start input and wait for test result
- An emergency push button is also included

system can perform automatic contact with the test piece surface without moving
the piece. It automatically moves the indenter and the measuring system until contact is made, the piece is clamped, the force applied and
indentation is measured automatically on Rockwell, Vickers or Brinell procedure.
- The system is capable of measuring accurately even if the test piece deflects up to 5 0 mm during measurement. This automatic compensation
provide accurate results under adverse test conditions.

A standardized portable hardness tester
Unbelievable performance never seen before with the Affri Hardness
Tester RS-MAG.
A conventional hardness tester including conformance to any stan-
dard is available, as a portable system for onsite testing when test
pieces are too large or too heavy that a bench hardness tester is not
capable to accommodate it. The AFFRI magnetic portable hardness
tester solves all such type of necessities.
AFFRI state of the art technology permits different tests at different
load forces.
The load cell inside has no impact force, while the Affri vertical
movement permits a fully automatic test cycle.
It conforms to all Rockwell, Brinell, hardness standard methods.
The standardized high pressure on the indenter creates depth inden-
tations on the surface. Thus eliminating the need for special surface
preparation; a simple grinding of 180 grit on a small area just
where the indenter will indent.
Follow the profile of test piece
The Affri vertical stroke system of the measuring head, 50 mm (2)
follows the profile of test sample, it assures a very accurate and
absolute measurement even when sample retracts during test cycle.

It has been designed and studied by AFFRI engineers which create
the state of the art, in hardness test systems for over 55 years expe-
rience.
The AFFRI -RS MAG is completely uninfluenced by direction so that it
is operative up to 360 positioning and is not affected by any
external source of vibration; It does not need to be leveled.
It is absolutely fantastic difficult to believe.
On digital model the internal battery assures 20 hours operation
use.
The state of the art Affri system protects the indenter by accidental
shock before and during test, thus increasing the life of indenter
especially for diamond cone 120 Rockwell C test.

Easy to operate
It is so easy to manipulate, pull one single start lever and the mea-
sure will appear in a few seconds; there is no motor inside but at
same time its a totally automatic system.
It is so simple and easy to use that there is no need for any particu-
lar preparation by the operator.
Identify the test area and place the hardness tester on the test sam-
ple, then lock the magnetic lever, the tester will strongly adhere to
the test piece and remain clamped for the entire test cycle: you pull
the single start lever for few seconds and the head moves down
dynamically until it makes contact with test surface and generates
the measure cycle.
In 4 second the result will appear on the display scale or dial gauge.
The Affri RS MAG can be clamped on flat or round surfaces.
The automatic vertical movement of the indenter including clamping
system takes contact with the test surface automatically so that
need pull one start lever only to perform the entire test cycle.

Automatic instrument created for Brinell e Vickers hardness testing (simple and stitch) on tubes with a diameter of 1 0 0 mm up to almost 7 0 0 mm (by
using the hook chain system). The instrument is portable and designed for being light and resistant; the stands particular shape
allows to have both a plate supporting surface for testing details with parallel sides and a V plate for centering tubular details.
Designed for housing a hook- chain system, it allows to anchor it to large dimension tubes, thus giving precise tests under opti-
mal stability conditions. This instrument peculiar quality resides in its simplicity and user friendliness. Wiki family (Wiki3 0 -
Wiki1 0 0 ) is fully automatic; thanks to the autofocus, once the measuring cycle is started, the instrument will perform the test,

EXPLORER
Explorer is a reliable and precise hardness tester, with a new design and user friendliness. It allows
to make quick and precise measurements. The instrument is applied to the working centres and
handled just like a standard tool. Different types of coupling are available ISO, DIN 30,40,50 and
more on demand.
Explorer transfers the data concerning the test just carried out thanks to a Wireless connection via
standard Bluetooth. Data transfer is guaranteed up to 30 metres (even if without net noises it is
possible to transfer beyond 100 metres). This allows to place the support PC even far from the
instrument for better ergonomics of the working place.
SOFTWARE
The software supplied with the support PC is a powerful data analysis instrument. All data are
transferred to the wireless PC via standard Bluetooth. Beyond the quick setting of all testing
parameters, a complete set is supplied for analysing the data received from the instrument.
Possibility of graphic analyses, quick choice of testing scales, quick conversions and the chance
to save real time statistic sessions allow a quick and functional analysis of the tests carried out.
Furthermore, the software foresees other functions such as language change, software locking,
the possibility to create separate user accounts and to print the acquired data via a USB printer.
After applying the instrument to the machine tool, it will be enough to switch on the support
pc and activate the instrument to start testing. Thanks to the practical front keyboard, the user
may access useful information such as the battery level and the testing condition..

Thanks to the versatility and to the technology of the hardometers manufactured by OMAG AFFRI, exclusively using many technical patents, the ARM measuring
instrument sees the lights of day. It represents the essence of automation applied to a hardometer. Its peculiar characteristic is having the measuring head ancho-

HARDOMETER & AUTOMATION
The robotized arm used by the hardometer is char- acterized by 6 rotation axes allowing the instru- ment to perform high precision measurements in any area of the
piece, diminishing the time neces- sary for testing and increasing precision thanks to the specific software used for controlling the robot. The absolute control of the
robot movements and the powerful included software (internal program- ming OMAG AFFRI) using Bluetooth technology for transferring data, allow to quickly mea-
sure the different points of the piece, which were before- hand hard to reach. This is a very useful character- istic for companies and production lines where there
are many tests to perform and the pieces have shapes that complicate tests. According to customers needs, the hardometers can change and adapt to the diffe-
rent scales and loads requested as well as the robotic arms.
IL SOFTWARE
The included analysis software has a simple and user friendly graphic interfa-
ce, with quick choice of the testing scale, the possibility to modify the toleran-
ces, the direct conversion into other scales, the real time generation of cur-
ves and graphs apart from the statistic sessions that are real time updated
and the automatic test saving.
The software allows to create more user accounts in order to handle the best
the testing sessions; the setup sections allow to set the testing parameters,
as well as to choose the language and other customizations. All the relevant
data are transferred in wireless mode via standard Bluetooth. The software
directly gives the chance to print data via a USB printer connected to the PC.
Furthermore, the different connections available such as Ethernet and USB
ports and standard Bluetooth allow to connect more peripherals to the har-
dometer.
