Forestry Team 2nd in Section


Congratulations to the Forestry team for placing 2nd in our section! The team competed September 19 at Sam Dale Lake. Team members include Clifford McKinney, Levi Rogers, Dylan Knight, Kevin Schuh, Dillon Bunnage, and Maverick Troyer. Out of the team Kevin, Clifford, and Dillon placed in the top 10 as well. The forestry CDE requires students to demonstrate their skills in diagnosing forest disorders, managing forests and forest inventory, and applying approved silvicultre practices.

Oct. 29- Nov. 2: National Convention

A big Thank you goes out to all who helped with National Farm Safety Week.

Greenhand Workshop
The Greenhand workshop was on September 9 in Corbondale. Bobbie Goodwin, Jonathan Kooker, Dalton Hough, Sawyer Messerole, Mary Rickey, Gavin Mason, and Seth McKinzie attended the workshop. Horse Judging CDE


Sarah Carter, Britton Feldman, Rees Shelby, Logan Balding, and Chandler Moore recently competed at Section Horse Judging CDE on September 19. The team placed 6th in the Section. In the CDE, students evaluate and rank horses based on breed charactersitcs, conformation, and performance. As a team, they solve problems related to equine selection, management, nutrition, and production.
