REFLECTION Alhamdulillah, praised to Allah, with His blessings, I was able to complete this LGA 3102 coursework.

Firstly, I would like to thank to my lecturer, Mdm. Siti Shamizatulfiza bt Abdul Paris Khan for giving me this task because through this coursework, it was an opportunity for me to get more experience and knowledge on Language Arts especially in lesson planning and micro teaching. I also want to convey my deepest appreciation to all my fellow friends because they have helped me a lot in completing this coursework. I have tried my best to complete this task in order to hand the best work to my lecturer and I hope I will get the possible mark. For this micro teaching sessions, I have to do a digital storytelling session which I have never done before and its really exciting me. Presentation software, such as PowerPoint, increases our capacity to present visual materials in a dynamic and interesting way (Jeremy Harmer). From this storytelling sessions, I have learned a lot from my experienced and I now know that it is important to use digital materials as it can be more effective and interesting. Besides, its important to maximize the use of technology as it surely will attract students attention and focus on the lesson. From this, we also can slowly introduce pupils in rural area to technologies which surely will benefit them near future. For my own microteaching, I have gain a lot of experience that I cannot get by studying only. From this, I can clearly see what my weaknesses and strength are and I can develop from that. Compare to strength, I have identify many weaknesses that I have to overcome in order to be an effective Language Art teacher. One of my weaknesses is that I really lack in the areas of delivery. While I think I have the right intonation and pitch, my fluency is really is a big concern for me. Because of this, I have problems to interact with the pupils and may become an ineffective teacher. Communication is a vital part of the teaching-learning process (Nesamalar Chitravelu). So, to overcome this problem, I know that I have to use English more regularly and gain some confidence in speaking and thus I can communicate well with the pupils. Next thing that I have learned from my micro teaching is that I should have the classroom control in my lesson. In my microteaching, I am fortunate to have my friends act as the pupils as they give me a lot of cooperation. However, this will be much more different situation in the real classroom where pupils tend to be more active and it takes more than what I do in the microteaching to control the class. I have learned that I should have a louder voice and most importantly, a clear instruction. This is important so that pupils will listen to what I have to say and can control them. Besides, I should walk more around in the class so that I can be more near to the student and make them noticed me and focus on their work.
