PLUG IN POWER SURGE FILTERS with RFI Filtering

A fault condition is indicated with the green LED extinguished and the red LED on. The unit should be returned for repair. Note that even with the green LED extinguished the unit will still provide protection with the filter and load side MOVs.

RFI Filtering
In addition to its surge filtering capabilities the PP10F filters also have the added feature of RFI filtering against radio frequency interference of up to 1 GHz. This filtering is applied to both the transverse and common-modes. This protection is essential for equipment that is sensitive to high frequency line noise. Note: If the supply cord of this equipment is damaged, the equipment must be returned to the supplier for repair.

Operation
Multistage transient protection is utilised in every power surge filter. Metal oxide varistors, as the first stage, absorb the majority of the energy. These components are continuously monitored for integrity. The first stage is followed by a low pass LC filter, which further attenuates the let through voltage. The filter also attenuates low-level noise and harmonics. The third stage consists of metal oxide varistors. These provide a final clamping circuit and protect against impulses generated by connected loads. There are two power outlets, orientated to enable at least one plug pack adapter to be fitted and when combined with international versions contain IEC input and output connectors for connection to any wiring system. The filter is rated at 10 amps. This rating must not be exceed. Two LED indicators are included on all models. The red LED indicates that power is present. The green LED indicates that the unit is operating normally and that the main metal oxide varistors are intact and operational.
