Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ,

The last couple of months, I have been extremely busy with street evangelism, evan-
gelistic events and a whole lot of administration. My Testimony has been made the
feature story for the Challenge Australian Edition Newspaper, there website is www.
challengenews.org.

The other day, I had a friend attack the work I do in the ministry, he said I was not a
true evangelist because I do not have any fruit. He went on to say that he was a true
evangelist because you could see all the souls he had won through his ministry.

At first I felt so offended by what this guy had just said, I felt like a failure. So I went to
God in prayer and I felt he reminded me of a couple of things.

Firstly, this guy didn’t know that over the years I have seen thousands of people
come to the Lord.

Secondly, is it an evangelists job to see souls won? Or is it our job to faithfully plant the pure seed of the Gos-
pel? I think 1 Corinthians 3:5-9 clearly defines our job as firstly being faithful planters. “What, after all, is Apollos?
And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6I
planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything,
but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each
will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.”
The big mistake my friend was making is that he failed to realize the process that is involved in bringing some-
one to the Lord. The souls he had seen won was not just his own doing. Someone first had to plant the seed,
secondly it needed a water (someone praying for that person, or a kind act in the name of Jesus etc) and then
someone reaps.

My friend had benefited from years of faithful sowing and watering from other dear saints. Reaping is only one
link in the chain and that is the work of the Holy Spirit, only he can regenerate the person. So next time some-
one beats you down for your apparent lack of fruit, please take courage in the fact that you have been a link
in the chain for maybe 100’s if not 1000’s of salvations. So please continue to share the gospel with as many
people you possibly can.

40 Days of Courage
How hard do you think it would be to hand out 5-10 gos-
pel tracts a day? Rate it on a scale of 1 being impossible
and 10 being extremely easy. For those that had a score
less than 6, you need to rethink this.
You might say, "Well I work all day, I don't have time." Ok
fair enough! But you do have a lunch break right? And
what about the time before and after work each day? Time
is not really an issue when it comes to giving out tracts.
Last month I was in Papatoetoe, just walking the streets
and within 5 minutes I would have given out 20 tracts.
I was in recently Manners Mall for 3 hours and gave out
over 200 tracts and had over 100 meaningful conversions
with people.
So this is the challenge. You have 40 days to give out 350
tracts, that is 8-9 tracts a day. I want 500 able Christians to
join up. Over those 40 days, we will have the potential to
reach 200,000 people. How exciting is that!? The cost will
be $25.90 for 350 tracts. That is an amazing deal. The pack
will include three Ray Comfort tracts and two of our very
own designs. We hope to have enough people signed up
to run it from the 2nd November 2009.

The Million Dollar Question: Where do people go when

they die? Most people like to think that they will end up in
Heaven. But how can we know for certain? The Bible says
there are only two ways to get to heaven. Firstly, by being
a perfect person. But sadly, every person born into this
world is born a sinner. When we lie, cheat, steal, lust and
hate others, it shows how imperfect our souls are. So sadly
we cannot enter Heaven when we die. This means we have to go to Hell.

Secondly, We can ask Jesus for his perfect record. Jesus Christ came to our world to live a perfect life, and
died a cruel painful death on a cross to take the punishment that we all deserve for breaking his laws. So if
we put our trust in Jesus and do two things he asks us to do, we can be forgiven and one day enter Heaven.
What are those two things?

1. Be willing to turn away from anything that we know is wrong in our life and say sorry to Jesus. God prom-
ises to help us with the things that we are powerless to give up, if we allow him to. This is called repentance.
2. We must surrender our life to Jesus Christ, acknowledging him as God, then humble our lives to him in
service.

people onto our gospel tracts. This website will
simply have an extended video, audio and text
gospel message, online discipleship course, a ques-
tion and answer section, a church directory with
the churches that are involved in this project and
live chat for people to ask questions and for prayer.
