There are no age restrictions for Monograms independent vacations. Discounts range from 10% off to children travel free, depending on the vacation and childs age. As a rule, a day with Globus costs you no more than you would pay on your own for a hotel overnight. Yet we also provide a Tour Director, transportation, many meals, a rich sightseeing program, and more. rooms are usually no larger than twin or double rooms. The additional bed is often a rollaway put in for the night. Three separate beds cannot be guaranteed. Triple rooms are not available on river cruises. AVOID THE SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT We do not take reservations on a share basis because we have found that Globus travelers rarely enjoy sharing a room for the duration of their vacation. Avoid the single room supplement by traveling with a friend. Its less expensive and much more fun! PAY LESS FOR YOUR SECOND VACATION We charge you brochure price for your first vacation in 2013, but for every additional Globus vacation you take in the same year, you pay 5% under list. Our vacations are designed and scheduled so you can combine them almost any way you want. Its fun to play the add-a-vacation game yourself or talk to your travel agent. TOUR DIRECTOR & DRIVER GRATUITIES At the end of each tour, our travelers take the opportunity to thank the Tour Directors and drivers for their services by paying them a gratuity. You have the option of adding this at the time of booking, so you dont have to budget for this at the end of the tour. The exact amount of prepaid gratuity is indicated in the price box for your chosen vacation. Travellers who prepay gratuities receive a gratuity voucher with the travel documentsall you need to do is give this to the Tour Director and the driver at the end of the tour. Tips collected at the time of booking are fully refundable if you need to cancel your vacation for any reason. Tips for Local Guides are not included in this charge. The option of adding tips is available only for the main tour and excludes extensions. You may pay these directly on your vacation. SAVE BY FORMING YOUR OWN GROUP If you form your own group, you may receive rebates on the land arrangement of your vacation: On all tours: In a group of eight, one person travels at half price. In a group of 16, one person travels free. Exceptions: On vacations including a cruise of three or more nights, one person travels free in a group of 32; while one person travels at half price in a group of 16. On Greek combination cruises (land + sea cruise), one person travels free in a group of 10. Small parties of 5 to 7 persons save 5% per person of the land only portion of a Globus tour. On Avalon Waterways vacations, one person travels free in a group of 16. Rebates are applicable to land-only prices (not air-inclusive prices). The above discounts do not apply to any intra-tour flights. Free and half-price land arrangements are credited at the twin rate; single room supplements

have to be paid in full. Terms & Conditions for group bookings may differ from those for individual bookings. Contact us or your travel agent for details. The above discounts do not apply to any intra-tour flights. TRIP PROTECTION Globus offers a Trip Protection plan that protects against trip cancellation, delay, or interruption due to covered reasons. See page 239. JOINING LATE & LEAVING EARLY Many Globus Europe land arrangements start and end in London. If you have already spent time in the British capital, you may want to skip one or more of the included London nightsor even join at the first overnight hotel on the European continent. On European river cruises, you have the option to participate in just the cruise portion of the vacation, removing overnight land stays at the beginning or the end of the cruise itinerary. Call us or your travel agent for any reductions that apply to your land-only or cruise only vacation for joining late or leaving early. ITS IN YOUR INTEREST TO BOOK EARLY Plan your vacation in advance and book your tour as soon as possible to guard against the disappointment of not finding space. Globus vacations can be booked through your travel agent or on several travel Web sites against credit card payments via the secure payment gateway of our Online Reservations System. For more information, contact your travel agent or call us in India at 1.800.425.3575. Many Globus vacations sell out months before the departure date, but remember: the moment we receive your deposit, your land price is guaranteed. This is valuable protection against currency fluctuations and other cost increases. So, dont wait. Contact your travel agent now for a vacation youll never forget!

The Best Way to See the World

We offer many modes of transportation. For example, our motorcoach travel is just like riding in the door-to-door comfort of a chauffeur-driven limousine! And theres more THE BEST SEAT FOR THE BEST VIEW Each Globus touring vehicle has upholstered, reclining seats with headrests and individual air-conditioning vents. A high-fidelity sound system broadcasts your Tour Directors commentary to every seat. Our custom of daily seat rotation gives everyone a variety of vantage points to see the passing countryside and city scenes. SMOKE-FREE MOTORCOACHES Smoking is not allowed on the motorcoach. There are plenty of opportunities to smoke during the frequent stops. AIR-CONDITIONED MOTORCOACHES EVERYWHERE All Globus touring motorcoaches are fully air-conditioned. EMERGENCY RESTROOMS WHILE TOURING Touring motorcoaches in Europe and North America are equipped with an emergency restroom (see itinerary pages for exceptions). For transfers and sightseeing in London, this amenity is not available. We deliberately use the term emergency restroom because this facility is not meant to be used regularly in lieu of the restrooms at our frequent comfort stops. MORE LEG ROOM & LIMITED GROUP SIZE FOR EXTRA COMFORT The length and width are standard for modern touring motorcoaches, prescribed by law. The difference among Tour Operators is in the number of seats installed and actually sold. While it is customary to install and sell 53 seats, Globus installs fewer seats and limits group size. Our private deluxe motorcoaches include all the comforts youd expect, including airconditioning, an emergency restroom, free Wi-Fi in Europe & North America, and extra leg roomcomparable to the airlines upgraded plus seating. Our average group size is just 36 travelers, so theres plenty of room to stretch out and relax! GLOBUS DRIVERS ARE EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS Globus drivers take pride in driving and in their vehicles. Your driver will help you on and off the motorcoach with a smile and load your bags with care. Our travelers consistently lavish the highest praise on the person behind the wheel! CRUISES, TRAIN RIDES & MORE! If your vacation features the Eurostar train, youll be guaranteed a smooth ride from Rome to Florence. To reach Seville from Madrid youll board the exciting high-speed AVE train. Other vacations feature cruises on the Rhine River or Venetian canals to enhance your travel experience. To cross the Strait of Georgia on our vacations in the Northwest and Canadian Rockies, youll probably take one of the sleek, ultra-modern BC Ferries. On many of our Alaska or Canadian vacations you will board railcars. To see if the vacation of your choice features other types of transportation, check out the map on the itinerary page. Youll see that alternative modes of travel are clearly pictured.

Airport Transfers & Low Air-Inclusive Prices

Globus offers more services for your convenience and air-inclusive price advantages on certain tours. AIRPORT TRANSFERS Typically, vacations to Europe and North America are sold on a land-only basis when booked from Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Making their own air arrangements on regularly scheduled direct or non-stop flights (but not chartered flights) into international terminals, land-only tour clients may reserve our airport transfer service at $25 each way per person. Different rates apply to European river cruise vacations operated by Avalon Waterways. For information on airport transfers in North America, please contact your Travel Agent. Booking the transfer to and from the airport to your start and end hotel with Globus can mean a substantial saving, as a taxi transfer in some European and American cities is as much as $85 each way. It is also far more convenient than lugging your bags to and from local train stations. Airport transfers can also be arranged when you purchase extra nights before or after the vacation in Europe. Please see page 233 for more details. To book your airport transfers, Globus requires your arrival and departure flight details and dates, plus your Globus invoice number. Flight details must be received no later than five weeks prior to departure; transfers will be provided only once flight details are given and confirmed by Globus. Look for confirmed transfer vouchers in your travel documents. Transfers cannot be provided when you join late or leave early. WE ALSO ACCEPT YOUR RESERVATION TO SELECT DESTINATIONS ON AN AIR-INCLUSIVE BASIS (ex-USA) Globus buying power means generally better rates for you, and we have negotiated the lowest possible airfares ex-USA with the worlds finest carriers on behalf of our travelers. For this reason, many travelers combining their Globus vacation with a visit to friends and family in the USA like to book our air-inclusive vacations. This particularly makes sense for South America, North America Monograms, Hawaii, etc., where finding your own internal flights is not easy. Rather than spending hours researching flight options to coordinate with your vacation start and end dates, let us handle the work. Booking air-inclusive vacations with us also means free airport transfers (on brochure dates). Air-inclusive vacations to North and South America are only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. Certain exotic destinations, such as China, Egypt, Australia, and New Zealand, can also include internal (domestic) flights with the land package, making it more convenient for travelers. In this case, travelers do not need to start their travel from the United States and could join the tour from the first city on the itinerary. Since seats for our low-cost airfares fill quickly, we urge you to book early. Air-inclusive reservations cannot be made later than 10 days prior to departure. Additional rules may apply. Ask our Travel Consultants for details. Although we will try, Globus cannot always honor carrier or flight preferences. Air tickets will be received by your travel agent two to three weeks prior to vacation departure. For late bookings or carriers that do not honor e-tickets, Airport Transfers Transfers are available for flights arriving/departing within the following times on day of tour arrival and departure: Amman Cairo Glasgow Madrid Oslo

airline tickets will be sent by courier after final payment is received, and delivery charges from the U.S. are borne by the traveler. Details of these will be advised to your travel agent at the time of booking. For special service requests, such as seat assignments and special meals, or to advise your frequent flyer number, travelers need to contact the airlines directly. Please retain your ticket copy in the event you need it later for proof of your flight; we are unable to supply ticket copies after your return. Changes and/or revisions to airline reservations at your request after flight bookings have been made are subject to revision fees and/or airline imposed change or cancellation fees. Generally, these fees are up to $300, but in some instances may be up to 100% of the ticketed price. Please ask if any such charges apply before making changes, as all changes at your request are payable by you. Various domestic and international taxes and fees are not included in the vacation price. These taxes and fees will be added to your air-inclusive invoice as a single, per person charge. Taxes and fees are subject to change without notice and will be quoted at time of booking. Globus does not offer internal airfare in Europe with land-only vacations unless it is already specified as included in your vacation price. APPLICABLE AIRFARE TAXES & FEES Air-inclusive price quotes will include all government-imposed taxes and fees applicable at the time of booking and will be shown as a Total Amount. The total airfare price, the base airfare price, and the applicable government taxes and fees are broken out line-by-line and shown on the invoice after your travel is booked. Departure is based on the land start date as listed in the vacation itinerary. Additional airline fees for baggage may apply. Please check with the airlines Web sites for current baggage pricing information. For return travel from some countries, international travelers are required to pay entry and/or exit fees at the airport. These fees will be collected by the local government and are payable by the traveler at time of travel. Your confirmation booking information will contain information about these fees. TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (T.S.A.) For bookings with air-inclusive fares (EX-USA), the Secure Flight Final Rule requires all passengers to provide their name as it appears on their governmentissued ID the passenger plans to use when traveling, date of birth, gender and Redress Number (if applicable). We require that this information is provided within 10 days of booking air with us. BUSINESS CLASS/PREMIUM ECONOMY UPGRADES AVAILABLE Business class and/or Premium Economy upgrades may be available for purchase. Please inquire with your Travel Agent at the time of booking for applicable price quotes. Time and terminals limitations are to the left:

EXCELLENT HOTELS & FINE DINING

At the end of a busy day of sightseeing, you want to relax in comfortable, clean, attractive accommodations. At our conveniently located hotels, youll always feel welcome and well looked after. DELIVERING THE BEST EXPERIENCES We know that excellent accommodations are of paramount importance to your enjoyment on vacation. Our hotels have mastered the art of handling group check-ins and baggage speedily, and balancing the need for efficiency with the desire of each traveler to receive individual attention. DELUXE, SUPERIOR, FIRST-CLASS & FIRST-CLASS HOTELS NEARLY EVERYWHERE Globus is proud to be associated with some of the worlds finest establishments. The specific hotels we have selected for you are listed separately for each vacation. The vast majority of them are deluxe (D), superior first-class (SF), first-class (F) establishments. Globus hotel ratings follow standards set by the independent Hotel &Travel Index and by national tourist boards. The specific rating for each contract hotel is determined by our quality controllers. We reserve the right to substitute hotels listed on the itinerary pages with hotels of equivalent standard. With your Globus travel documents youll receive a list of hotel addresses, telephone numbers, and fax numbers for your vacation. WHY GLOBUS IS BETTER Even though our main competitors use hotels with comparable quality, none of them has mastered the art of creating vacations that will enthral you and enrich you, with lots of side trips, adventurous optional, and many other memorable experiences. A HEARTY BREAKFAST TO START YOUR DAY Start each vacation day the right waywith included breakfast (with the exception of certain Monograms vacations)! From full breakfast with hot entrees to continental breakfast or buffet, the type of breakfast youll enjoy is specified in every itinerary. Most hotels do not allow food to be taken away from the breakfast buffet for eating later. LUNCHES ON YOUR OWN At lunchtime, we typically give you time on your own to try the local fare. Sample regional specialties at a sidewalk cafor stop by a market or deli and pick up fresh bread, cheese, fruit, and wine for a local-style picnic. See individual itinerary pages for specific details. DINING IN STYLE* With Globus, culinary highlights are tailored to each vacation and may include welcome and farewell dinners, food and wine tastings, and fine dinners at local restaurants. Plus, we give you freedom to take advantage of the best a city has to offer by not including dinners where they clash with show times or where dining locally is a major attraction. As always, your Tour Director will be right there to direct you to the perfect restaurants, nightclubs, and theaters. *Special meals, such as vegetarian, can be requested, and we will do our best to accommodate the requests; however, we regret if your choice of meal is not available. While some hotels may be able to provide for a special diet, including vegetarian or salt-free food, there is no guarantee, especially at places such as North American National Parks where meal options are fairly limited. Special food may cost extra. Please ask your Tour Director for assistance and he/she will do the best to accommodate your request. Since a Globus vacation is all about immersing yourself in the local destination, you can never expect that the included meal will be Asian or Indian. Of course, on days that meals are not included, you could choose eating at a local restaurant of your choice. A listing of Indian restaurants in Europe and North America is available on pages 234-235. EXTRA NIGHTS BEFORE & AFTER YOUR VACATION If you require extra nights at the beginning or end of your vacation, we will make reservations for you provided you request them at the time you book your vacation. Rates are per person, per night and include a room with private bath, breakfast, service charges, and taxes. Extra nights are only available immediately prior to or after your vacation (for rates, please see the itinerary pages). Every effort will be made to reserve extra nights at the hotel where your vacation stays. If space at the vacation hotel is not available, alternative accommodations may be reserved at a hotel of equivalent standard. When this is the case, the transfer from and to the vacation hotel is at our expense. As hotel space is limited, we cannot reserve more than two extra nights before and/or after a vacation. During particularly busy periods, hotel space in certain cities can become so tight that we may be unable to sell extra nights.

DOES GLOBUS OFFER TRIP PROTECTION / INSURANCE FOR PURCHASE? IS A PLAN INCLUDED IN THE VACATION PRICE? In certain countries and regions, Globus offers Trip Protection / Insurance that protects against trip cancellation, delay, and interruption. This is not comprehensive travel protection and only provides coverage on Globus trips, in case you have to cancel or leave early due to covered reasons. It is optional for you to purchase and is not included in the standard vacation price. It cannot be added after the tour is guaranteed. For more details, please see page 239. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TWIN-BEDDED ROOM & A DOUBLE-BEDDED ROOM? A double room is a room designed to accommodate two people, though not necessarily with two separate beds. A twin-bedded room has two separate beds of any size; this is what we usually reserve for our travelers. WHAT SIZE IS A TRIPLE ROOM? A triple room is the same size as a twin or double room. It will have beds to accommodate three people; however, we cannot guarantee that there will be three separate beds. If there are only two beds, a rollaway bed may be requested but also cannot be guaranteed. Triple rooms are not available on some of our tours and river cruises. HOW HECTIC IS MY VACATION GOING TO BE? The Globus family of brands offers over 400 vacations and while some are very leisurely paced, others are more of a medium pace. Typically, Panorama vacations covering more countries/cities in a short duration make a vacation quick paced; Regional Discoveries are medium to leisurely paced. Every vacation has a pace meter indicating its pace on the brochure. HOW LONG WILL WE BE ON THE ROAD EACH DAY? HOW OFTEN DOES THE MOTORCOACH STOP EN ROUTE? Driving time varies for each vacation. It depends on the itinerary, and the driving distance is mentioned in the travel documents. You can also request this information in advance. When driving between cities, the motorcoach stops after every 1.5-2 hours at places where you can pick up a snack/meal and use restrooms. Most vacations do not include drives from one city to another every day. HOW EARLY WILL I HAVE TO WAKE UP ON THE VACATIONS? The wake-up call differs based on the type of vacation, the season when you are traveling, the city that you are in, and even the weather. Wakeup times are not the same each day and the Tour Director or Cruise Director will advise you of these once the tour begins. Early starts offer the advantage of reaching sightseeing spots before the rush, leaving you free the rest of the day to enjoy the destination and to do as you please. WHAT MEALS ARE INCLUDED IN MY VACATION? CAN I REQUEST INDIAN / VEGETARIAN / SPECIAL CUISINE WHILE ON TOUR? The exact number of meals included on your tour is clearly specified on the itinerary and is different for each vacation. Breakfast is included daily on all vacations, with the exception of Monograms North America, where breakfast is not included in the tour price. Our vacations strive to introduce you to authentic flavors, so you can enjoy the destination in a deeper way. Therefore, included meals are usually local or continental and are never Indian or other specialty Asian cuisine. Please request vegetarian meals at the time of booking, and also with the Tour Director when on tour; this can usually be accommodated when requested in advance, but cannot be guaranteed. In certain countries and regions, such as North Americas

ARE PRICES PUBLISHED IN THE BROCHURE / ON THE WEB SITE GUARANTEED? All vacation prices are per person and based on rates (reflecting foreign exchange rates) known at the time of publication and expected to be in effect at the time of departure. They do not include airfare, except where noted. Prices are subject to increase without notice and are subject to the guarantees set forth on page 242-243. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT THAT I GIVE MY PASSPORT NAME, GENDER & DATE OF BIRTH WHEN BOOKING AIR? Due to increased travel security around the world, it is now more important than ever that your bookings with airlines, hotels, cruise liners, etc., match your first and last name exactly as it reads on your passport. Additionally, any changes to your air booking, which include spelling, could be subject to a change fee, penalties, or cancellation. We do not allow a change in names of passengers at any time after the booking is made. DOES GLOBUS PROVIDE VISA ASSISTANCE? With the exception of Russian visa letters, which are provided at an additional charge, we do not give any hotel vouchers or confirmations for visas. Globus takes no responsibility for obtaining or notifying travelers about visas required for any vacation. Please pay special attention to certain tours that need more than one visa (e.g., Spain & Portugal Tours ZW, ZX, ZU need Schengen visa and a visa for Gibraltar). Full cancellation as applicable is payable for guaranteed tours if visa is denied by consulates. We recommend that you get the visas in order before guaranteeing, and also take Trip Protection that helps you protect against cancellation penalties arising out of visa rejection or delay, (subject to conditions, please see Web site for details). WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY TRAVEL DOCUMENTS? Travel documents including any air tickets, itineraries, and other information are sent approximately two to three weeks prior to departure, provided full payment has been received. A service charge per reservation may be added for documents requested in advance. WHAT IS THE POLICY IF I HAVE TO CANCEL? HOW CAN I PROTECT AGAINST CANCELLATION? The cancellation policy differs based on the tour and the time of cancellation. Guidelines of our cancellation policy are available in the Terms & Conditions section as well as on the Web site and from your travel agent. You can protect yourself against Globus cancellation charges by purchasing a Trip Protection plan from us, incase you are cancelling due to a covered reason. We regret the inability to waive cancellation charges that are not covered with Trip Protection due to our commitment to suppliers.

national parks, it may be difficult to find Indian or vegetarian meals. When meals are not included, you may choose an Indian restaurant in the city you are touring. Please see 234-235 for details. OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS You can learn about the Activities & Excursions available on your Globus vacation by visiting GlobusJourneys.com/MyGlobus. A complete listing will also be available in your travel documents. You may choose to purchase these Activities & Excursions in advance; some may be available to purchase from your Tour Director while on vacation. If the pre-booked optional excursion does not operate due to some reason, the money will be refunded the same way the payment was received. For Monograms vacations, you may also purchase your excursions online prior to travel. Ask your travel agent for more information. NOTE Activities & Excursions are subject to change and may not be available as described; please visit our Web site for up-to-date information including Terms & Conditions and details regarding payment. WHAT SIZE CAN MY SUITCASE BE? Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30x21x11 or weight exceeding 22 kgs. Carry-on luggage should not exceed the dimensions of 12x11x6. We regret that we are unable to accept a second suitcase or any luggage exceeding these limits. Please note that air carriers, cruise lines, and other forms of transportation may have other restrictions and requirements including weight, and we recommend that you contact the suppliers directly for additional information. Some airlines also charge for checked-in baggage. Globus is not responsible for any additional fees imposed by airlines on baggage. For Africa vacations, due to limited capacity of the vehicles, the baggage restrictions differ. Please contact your travel agent for more information. HOW IS SEATING DETERMINED ON THE MOTORCOACH? We offer daily rotation of seating, which gives everyone a variety of views. The rotation is mandatory and is adhered to by everyone, without exception. WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE GLOBUS? Globus vacations are designed to offer you flexibility, choice, and a pace that best fits the way you want to travel. Globus offers MORE included features, MORE quality hotels, and MORE experience, with more than 85 years of taking travelers on unforgettable journeys. Youll get insider attractions that youll merely see from the outside with other travel companies. In addition, Globus offers MORE value, with an average price less per day than our nearest competitor. The safety of our travelers and the richness of our vacations is a priority and it is what has made Globus the worldwide leader in travel and a name you can trust. HOW ARE MONOGRAMS VACATIONS DIFFERENT FROM GLOBUS? Monograms are non-escorted, independent vacations. While you purchase hotel, sightseeing, breakfast, air, and transfers as a package, you will not be traveling with a group of people. You will have access to a Local Host rather than a Tour Director. Local Hosts are available to help you make the most of your vacation. They can give you information on how to navigate local transportation, where to dine to experience local cuisine, or insider tips on what to do, but they will not be accompanying you as you explore on your own. You do have the opportunity to purchase additional activities and excursions online or from your Local Host. FOR MONOGRAMS, WHAT TRAVEL DOCUMENTS WILL I RECEIVE FOR MY VACATION? The travel documents and their delivery depend on the type of vacation. PUNCTUALITY It is imperative that you maintain punctuality at all timesfor departure times, optional tours, and meeting timesso that you do not get left behind and so that all participants can enjoy the tour. It is rude and unfair if your travel companions have to waste time waiting for you when they could be enjoying the destination. Moreover, your itinerary has been planned to maximize the touring experience, and on-time operation is necessary to ensure the planned itinerary can be followed. We are not liable for any losses you may incur because of poor timekeeping on your part. We urge you to read our Terms & Conditions to familiarize yourself with our liability in such situations. YOUR TRAVEL COMPANIONS Our vacations are very popular worldwide, and the demographic profile of our travelers is varied. Passengers are usually of varied ages and professional backgrounds, and will include many nationalities, including American, British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Japanese, Thai, Indian, and many others, providing a wonderful opportunity to make friends from around the world. Introduce yourself and try to mix with your fellow travelers. It is good manners and more fun for you than being on your own. ON-TOUR BEHAVIOR Showing respect and courtesy to fellow travelers during the journey will likely earn you the same in return and will result in a positive experience for everyone. Speaking to others or on a mobile phone when the Tour Director is giving commentary disturbs others on the motorcoach. TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN If you are a parent traveling with children, it is your responsibility to take care of them and tend to their safety. Most of your travel companions will have a real interest in learning about the cultures of countries they are touring and want to enjoy uninterrupted commentary from the Tour Director. It is also a great way for children to learn about other places and to respect other cultures. YOUR TOURING MOTORCOACH Eating and smoking on our motorcoaches is strictly prohibited, so you can enjoy your scenic drives in a clean, hygienic, and state-of-the-art environment. BAGS For your own comfort, please travel light (baggage dimensions and weight limitations are given in your travel documents). On the motorcoach, carry only essential items in a small backpack to ensure it fits in the luggage rack or under the seat in front of you, rather than on your or your neighbors lap! Trolley bags that are used as carry-on luggage on airlines are too large for motorcoaches, and are strictly prohibited on the motorcoach.

YOUR TOUR DIRECTOR & DRIVER Every Globus vacation is special because of the experienced, knowledgeable, and motivated Tour Directors who escort each tour. These friendly professionals are highly respected, are trained in dealing with people from different cultures and backgrounds, and work hard to provide you with an enjoyable and hassle-free vacation. They will tell you delightful stories, give local insights, and work behind the scenes so that operational details are taken care of for the next day of the journey. Many hold professional degrees and are highly qualified. They justifiably expect to be treated and respected as professionals. Your drivers ensure that you have a comfortable and safe journey as you discover new places on your vacation. They navigate through heavy traffic and ensure your motorcoach is neat and tidy for your next day of travel. They, too, expect to be treated with courtesy. Travellers who prepay gratuities receive a gratuity voucher with the travel documents all you need to do is give this to the Tour Director and the driver at the end of the tour. Tips collected at the time of booking are fully refundable if you need to cancel your vacation for any reason. Tips for Local Guides are not

included in this charge. The option of adding tips is available only for the main tour and excludes extensions. You may pay these directly on your vacation. ON-TOUR ASSISTANCE If you have an issue or concern, please approach your Tour Director immediately. It is not recommended that you wait for the situation to escalate or until the end of the tour to bring it up. The only person who can help resolve any situation that arises on-tour is your Tour Director. At the same time, be reasonable and understand that s/he is managing a large group. Everyone wants a wonderful travel experienceincluding your Tour Director! IN ROME, DO AS ROMANS DO People everywhere love to welcome visitors to their part of the world. They appreciate those who take an interest in their culture, so having an open mind will help you take away some great experiences. The best way to embrace the local culture is to do what the locals doand on our vacations, you will have ample opportunity to do so! IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU We live in a wonderfully diverse world. One of the greatest benefits of travel is the opportunity to return with different experiences and new points of view. Consideration for others goes a long way toward making your own vacation experience an unforgettable one!

Revisions and Revision Fees: In addition to any airline-imposed change fees, a fee of $30 per transaction will be charged by Globus for any alteration or revision made to a reservation after deposit or payment is received. Any revision to a booking, including but not limited to flight cancellations or name changes, may result in the loss of confirmed airline reservations or increased airfare or increased hotel/cruise tariff which will be payable by you. In many instances airline revision or change fees are up to $300, but in some instances may be up to 100% of the ticket price. Additional airline, cruise and hotel penalties may also apply to alternations or revisions to a booking and may be up to 100% of the full price which will be payable by you. A change of traveler name, vacation date, or itinerary within final payment will be treated as a full cancellation and new reservation; vacation and airfare cancellation fees (as above) apply. Air Arrangements: All carriers are independent operators and are not owned, managed or operated by Globus. Your airline ticket is a contract between you and the air carrier only, even if you purchase through Globus. By purchasing your air services through Globus, you waive all liability for Globus for such air services. Globus is not responsible if an airline cancels, reschedules, or delays a flight for any reason. If you purchased air through Globus, we will try to assist in making new arrangements providing you have not already checked in with your airline for your first flight segment. After check in, you must work with the airline directly to reach your destination or to make any alternate arrangements including amendments to return services. Please be aware airline fees often apply for modifications to air schedules not related to airline imposed flight cancellations, reschedules or delays. These fees will be payable by you to the airline directly at time of request. If you miss your departure flight or connection, it is your responsibility to work with the airline on which you are ticketed to reach your destination. No refunds will be provided by Globus for portions of trips missed due to canceled, rescheduled or delayed flights after airport check-in, nor is Globus responsible for any additional expenses you may incur prior to joining your trip if you miss your departure flight or flight connection. For air purchased through Globus, if any air schedule requires an overnight stay in a gateway city, Globus can assist you with hotel reservations at your request without any assurance of a confirmed booking; however, the cost of the overnight stay (including but not limited to hotel and meals) is your expense. Air routings are subject to availability. Routings are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time. When you make your own flight arrangements, Globus will not be responsible for any loss resulting from cancellation or changes in international gateways, itineraries or travel dates. We recommend that you do not purchase airline tickets with high penalty charges for changes. Under the new Secure Flight Program enacted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires airlines with flights in or over the USA to collect information from you for the purposes of watch list matching. TSA may share information you provide with law enforcement or intelligence agencies or others under its published system of records notice. At time of booking a vacation with air reservations, Globus will collect the required information and add to your air booking to pass to the airline(s) for the Secure Flight Program. The information includes full name, date of birth, gender and redress number (if available). Failure to provide the required TSA information at time of booking will result in the loss of confirmed flights and airfare price as information is required for ticketing. Rebooking lost airfare is subject to schedule availability at time of rebooking and may result in alternate flight schedules and/or increases in airfare price. Any increase in airfare price is payable by you. TSA information is required at time of booking for Instant Purchase Air. PARTICIPATION, ON TOUR BEHAVIOUR & PUNCTUALITY: As you are traveling with a group of international travelers on Globus vacations, all participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is not disruptive to the group and in a manner that is appropriate for group travel. To understand travel etiquette, please read pages 238-239 or visit GlobusJourneys.in. For the benefit of everyone on the vacation, Globus reserves the right to accept or reject the booking of any vacation participant and to remove any vacation participant from participating in or being a part of one or more itineraries were his or her conduct is deemed inappropriate & incompatible with the interest of the other travelers. Globus is not responsible for any losses, including missed sightseeing or having to make alternate travel arrangements, if you fail to meet the representatives of Globus at assigned timings and places/pick up points while on tour. Globus will not refund nor cover any cost or expenses incurred for termination of vacation arrangements due to unacceptable behavior or inability to maintain punctuality. The decision of behavior being acceptable or unacceptable rests solely with Globus. Travelers Who Need Special Assistance on Tours and/or Cruises: You must report any disability requiring special attention while on tour or on cruise to Globus at the time the reservation is made. Globus will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor responsible for any denial of services by air carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. Globus cannot provide individual assistance to any vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motorcoaches, cruise ships and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their wellbeing. All travelers with Globus are subject to the Participation clause above.

Not all sightseeing stops/sites accommodate wheelchairs and some locations and sightseeing activities require extensive standing, sitting or walking, sometimes on unpaved or cobblestone streets. Globus is not responsible for any missed activities due to a participants inability to participate with the group. The Americans with Disabilities Act is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside its borders. Most transportation services, including the touring motorcoaches and cruise ships, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. With prior permission and waivers, we will attempt to accommodate motorized scooters on USA vacations, depending on the suitability of the itinerary. Motorized scooters are typically not suitable for tours to all other destinations. The vacation participant must clarify the details of any required assistance with Globus before making a booking request. You assume the full risk of use and of any prohibitions imposed by any vendor. Although some of our ships have elevators, many of our small ships do not. Passengers requiring ship elevators should inquire before making reservations. Additionally, most stateroom doors and restrooms are not wide enough to allow access by standard wheelchair, and bathrooms and other doorways may be fitted with coamings. For safety reasons, passengers in wheelchairs cannot be carried on ramps in ports where the ship is at anchor. Young Travelers: Travelers who are under 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult throughout the vacation and must share an adults accommodation. Due to heightened security, many countries have adopted practices to prevent international abductions of children. If a child will be traveling with adults other than the parents or with only one parent, it is recommended that a notarized letter be written by the parents or non-traveling parent granting authorization to travel, including the dates of travel. Smoking: Smoking is not allowed on transportation that is exclusively provided by Globus. On cruise ships, smoking is restricted to certain areas of the vessel. Many hotels in North America have imposed a 100% nonsmoking policy and many cities have imposed non-smoking regulations in public spaces. As a standard rule, Globus confirms non-smoking hotel rooms. If you require a smoking room a request may be submitted, but we cannot guarantee availability. Price Policy: All vacation prices are based on rates (reflecting foreign exchange rates) known at the time of publication and expected to be in effect at the time of departure, and do not include airfare except where noted on specific itineraries. Vacation prices are per person, based on double occupancy (two people sharing a room). Single room supplements, triple and quad reductions or pricing are listed where applicable. Not all accommodation types are available on all vacations. Prices are subject to increase without notice, subject to the guarantees set forth below. Once Globus has received your full land deposit for any land vacation that land vacation price is guaranteed and you are protected against any land price increase due to currency surcharge. Any subsequent land cost increases are at Globus expense, not including energy cost increases and/ or any government tax increases. Pricing for vacations with Intra-vacation air are guaranteed when Globus has received your full land plus air deposits as noted above. Globus reserves the right to ticket vacations with Intra-vacation air upon receipt of full land and air deposits thus any subsequent revisions made at your request are subject to airline-imposed change fees, cancellation fees and/or changes in airfare price, which are your responsibility to pay. Vacation departures in 2014 are subject to itinerary and price modifications. Price is guaranteed with receipt of full deposit (as noted above). Full details will be available in November 2013. Travelers have the right to cancel their reservation without penalty within 7 days of notification in the event of itinerary modifications for departures in 2014 with the release of the 2013 brochure. Visas & Passports: You are responsible for obtaining and paying for all visas and entry and exit documents, for meeting all health and other requirements, and for any documents required by the laws, regulations, orders, and/or requirements of the countries you will visit. You must consult with appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are needed and are responsible for obtaining all visas and entry documents independently. Globus is not responsible for providing you with specific visa and passport information or documentation, and Globus cannot accept liability for any passenger refused entry onto any transport or into any country due to failure of the passenger to carry correct documentation. Cancellations due to visa denials will be charged per the cancellation policy (as noted above). All passengers travelling internationally are required to have a valid passport. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is recommended you have a minimum of three blank pages in your passport when traveling, as many countries require blank pages. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. It is your responsibility to verify all visa and passport requirements from concerned embassies of the countries where you intend to travel. The process of obtaining a visa and/or passport can take up to three months or more. Some government agencies in foreign countries require Globus to collect and pass on certain personal and other details related to you, including but not limited to government-issued identification and passport details. If you fail to supply the details as requested fully and accurately, your trip may be interrupted or cancelled. There are no refunds for failure to provide documentation or failure to provide documentation by the time required. Hotels & Accommodations: The hotels listed in this brochure or Web site are intended to be used on all departures; however hotels are not guaranteed. Globus reserves the right to substitute other hotels than those listed on the itinerary pages. If a change becomes necessary for any reason, including alternate hotels for additional departures on the same date, or hotel location changes within or outside itinerary cities, the hotel substituted will be of equivalent or higher quality to those shown. No refunds are provided for hotel changes; full cancellation penalties as noted above apply. Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedded rooms. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms, if available, will be allocated to couples. Please note that check-in times vary worldwide; Globus cannot control or guarantee check-in times and will not be held liable for any compensation in the event of late check-in by any hotel. Baggage Allowance: Porterage at hotels for one suitcase per person is included in the vacation price. Airport/train station porterage is not included unless otherwise specified in your travel documents. Please be prepared to carry your own suitcase on and off airplanes and trains and through airports and train stations. Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30x21x11 and weight not exceeding 50lbs (22kg) unless otherwise noted in your Travel Documents. We regret that we are unable to accept a second suitcase or any luggage exceeding these limits on any vacation. Some vacations have more restrictive regulations than those listed above. Please refer to your Travel Documents for more information. Due to limited capacity on safari vehicles and flights when on safari, your single bag must be soft-sidedand cannot exceed 33 lbs (15kg) for vacations in Kenya & Tanzania or 44 lbs (20 kg including hand luggage) in Botswana or Zambia.

Carry-on bags should not exceed the dimensions of 12x11x6. For safety reasons, wheeled carry-on bags are not suitable as hand luggage on motorcoaches and mini-buses. Carry-on bags must be small enough to store in overhead bins or under the seat in front of you on motorcoaches and other transportation. Air carrier restrictions may vary from the limitations listed above. Size and weight limitations for carry-on and checked baggage vary from airline to airline and even according to destination, and are becoming more restrictive. Globus is not responsible for additional fees imposed by air carriers for baggage and these fees are not included in the airfare or the vacation package price. You will be required to pay these fees directly to the airline at check-in. Regulations within most airports require that travelers handle their own luggage through customs. No responsibility is accepted by Globus for loss of or damage to baggage or any of the travelers belongings throughout the duration of the vacation. Baggage insurance is recommended in addition to Globus Trip Protection since Trip Protection does not cover lost or damaged baggage. CAR RENTAL: These Terms & Conditions contain a summary of some of the rental conditions. For full, detailed conditions, refer to the conditions schedule in the car rental agreement. To rent a car, drivers must be at least 25 years of age with a valid drivers license. Collision damage waiver fees are not included in the vacation price. You may ask them to be covered when picking up your vehicle; you will be responsible for paying waiver fees directly to the car rental supplier. Car rental Terms & Conditions are subject to change but usually do not include gasoline, tolls, ferries, additional insurance, taxes, infant seat charges, or surcharges for additional drivers. Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis. Early return of the vehicle does not entitle you to any refund of the unused portion of the rental. Fees associated with rental exceptions and/or late car returns are not covered in the vacation package. These fees are payable directly to the rental car company. Any complaint or claim involving the vacation services offered in this brochure or the Web site, involving the negligence of any suppliers, sub-contractors, or agents in relation to any service provided to the vacation participant, must be notified to Globus in writing while on vacation or within 30 days of the vacation completion, except where such time limitations are prohibited by law, failing which it will be deemed that the vacation participant is satisfied with the services availed. As it is difficult and sometimes impossible to properly investigate a complaint if Globus is not advised of such complaint quickly, any compensation you may have been able to claim from a supplier should be made known to Globus immediately and Globus will forward the same to the concerned supplier for appropriate review but doesnot guarantee any payment. Any delay in forwarding the complaint could result in reduction or even forfeit of the expected compensation from the supplier, if you do not follow the complaints procedure set out in this clause. Holidays: During local or national holidays or special events, peek seasons, on Sundays, and during religious occasions, certain facilities such as museums, churches, restaurants, sightseeing tours, hotels, and shopping may be limited or not available. ITINERARY CHANGES CRUISES: In the event of water level problems on stretches of any river, or of technical problems of any nature, it may be necessary to operate part of the itinerary by motorcoach. Avalon reserves the right to change the itinerary whenever conditions, in the opinion of the Master of the ship or local waterways regulations, render it advisable or necessary. In addition, river and other local authorities often need to carry out repair or maintenance work on the river or canal banks, stretches of river or canal, bridges, locks or docks, or other areas that may impede river cruise travel. This is frequently undertaken with little or no advance notice to river cruise operators, and can cause Avalon waterways to make changes to the published itinerary or to operate part of the itinerary by motorcoach with little to no advance notice. These events are beyond our control and Avalon waterways will not be responsible for any loss, expense, or inconvenience caused by reasons of such changes. Avalon reserves the right to cancel, advance, or postpone any scheduled tour and/or sailing date and may, but is not obligated to, substitute another vessel, and shall not be liable for any loss whatsoever to tour/cruise participants by reason of any such cancellation, advancement, or postponement. In the event of cancellation by Avalon only, tour/cruise participants only right of recourse shall be to a refund of monies paid to Avalon in connection with such tour/ cruise. In the event of charters of the vessels, strikes, lockouts, riots, or stoppage of labor for whatever cause or for any other reason whatsoever, Avalon may at any time cancel, advance, or postpone any scheduled sailing and may, but is not obliged to, substitute another vessel and shall not be liable for any loss whatsoever to tour/ cruise participants by reason of any such cancellation, advancement, or postponement. Optional Excursions & Activities: Optional activities and excursions (the Services) available for booking are provided by local operators or other third parties that are entirely independent of Globus and do not form any part of the product or services sold to you by Globus or of these Terms & Conditions, even where Globus suggests particular operators/other third parties and/or assists you in booking such optional activities or excursions. Your contract for such Services will be with the organizer or operator of that Service and will be subject to its Terms & Conditions, which may contain exclusions or limitations of liability. Globus has no liability for any such optional activity or excursion or for any act(s) or omission(s) of the organizer or operator or for any of its employees or agents or any other person(s) connected with the optional activity or excursion. Any advice or assistance on or with any Service provided by any local representative does not mean or imply that the Service is sold, supervised, or controlled by Globus or that any such advice or assistance is given on behalf of Globus. Vacation participants are asked to check with the operator of any optional activity or excursion and the applicable Terms & Conditions before booking. For operational reasons, not all optional excursions listed in the tour itinerary, in print or online or in travel documents may be available during your vacation. Your Tour Director will advise of availability while on tour. Excursions purchased in advance of travel are nonrefundable within 10 days of commencement of services.
