NOTES: This is for a computer at address 192.168.0.3. You use your local IP address in this spot. To call this phone you dial test@192.168.0.3 All computers on the network that you setup for IP calling need to have the same port range! My client IP address changes from time to time and based on what I do the people calling me always know what this new IP address is. Is there any way to tell x-lite to just put whatever my current IP address is into this instead of manually setting the IP address all of the time? SIP to SIP calling

by pratham Wed Jan 10, 2007 9:53 pm I am using the X-lite product and I don't see how I can dial a SIP URI (it just has a phone pad with numbers). I used the computer's keyboard to enter the SIP URI but the phone refuses to dial it (says something like the person you are trying to reach is not available).

Using keyboard I was able to make any call by dialing the number or char such as 1224 or mcast+1234 etc.... I did not make any change in configuration, but today using keyboard I can only dial by entering the number (eg. 11234), but not able to dial any char any more... CounterPath User to User Support Forums View topic - IP to IP calling

Im using the phone for the first time and am finding it hard to use this thing. Normally it doesnt take too long for me to figure something out...but this is by far not easy. Every guide i find gives me little or no specific information with regards to operating the phone. If a new person begins using this, they need to understand the device and how it works.....for me its the opposite....I attempted to dial a number however i get an error.....Any help would be more than greatly appreciated....
