ATP rapid hygiene testing: an introduction

ATP rapid hygiene testing is based on the measurement of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) - the energy molecule for all animal, vegetable, bacteria, yeast and mould cells. A method to assess cleanliness of environmental surfaces in real time.
The technology detects the presence of organic residues, in addition to microorganisms, which have been left on a surface after inadequate cleaning and or sanitation.

Showcase Hospitals Trial Report
Cleaning managers were impressed with the results and the improvements in their cleaning protocol:
The Clean-Trace Clinical ATP system has been a great success; staff are receiving feedback and becoming competitive. At one hospital it was also noted that the Clean-Trace Clinical ATP system introduced a good spirit of competition among staff to ensure their wards were the cleanest.
