Temperature of the gases is 290C and ambient temperature is 200C. The flue gases formed per kg of fuel burnt are 23kg. Neglect the losses and take the diameter of chimney as 1.8m.

Find the overall cost of energy per kWh for each type of consumer using the following data. i) Capital cost of the plant = Rs 10,000 per kW. ii) Total running cost = Rs 36,00,000 per year.
