Question/Problem Hypothesis Materials Method Observations Conclusion Evaluation Variables Bias Theory Law

Question/Problem

First we have to Recognise the problem and we need to under stand what we already know then we need to make an observation about the thing that we are experimenting with.

Inference/Hypothesis

An inference is a conclusion about our observation. After making a inference we need to translate the inference into a hypotheses. A hypotheses is a testable explanation for the details you observe and another detention of hypothesis: A hypothesis is an educated guess about how things work.

Materials

Materials is the equipment that you need to do the experiment

Method/Experiment

We need to come up with an experiment to test the hypothesis. You should repeat the experiment several time to make sure that experiment works.!

Observations

We have to record observation about the experiment then we analyse our data to make sure that it follow our hypothesis.

Conclusion

Once your experiment is complete, you collect your measurements and analyze them to see if they support your hypothesis or not.!

Evaluation

What we need to make the experiment much better if we did it again.

Variables

A variable is the object that change the experiment.

Bias

Bias describes the tendency or preference for a particular result or outcome.

Theory
A theory is an explanatory statement that's been repeatedly conrmed through experimental testing.!

Law
A law generalizes a body of observations. At the time it is made, no exceptions have been found to a law.

Animal camouage
! Question/Problem! How does camouage effect vision?!

Hypothesis!
People would choose the contrasting colour over the matching colour of the paper!

Materials!
Sicorse, one a 4 page of paper green paper, one a4 green paper cut in one inch square, one a4 Browne paper cut in one inch square.!

Method!
1. Cut one page of green and one page of Browne paper into one inch square! 2. Arrange the squares onto one a piece of green paper! 3. Give you're subjects 5 seconds to grab as many squares as they can, one pice at a time.! 4. Record how many green pieces and how many Browne pieces that people take.! 5. Tally the result ! !

Conclusion!
My hypotheses was right because our data show that more people collected the un contrasting colour over the contracting colour !

Evaluation !
I think that we should have un contrasting colour like orange and purple

Egg experiment Question/Problem!

How can I tell the different between cooked eggs or uncooked eggs!

Observation!
We tried to but them in water It didn't work. Then we shock them and it worked we didn't hear the middle eggs so we think that it is the one that is cooked. We also tried to sniff them but it didn't work.

Hypothesis!
I think if we rolled the cooked egg it will spin really will.!

Matrials
1 hard boiled egg, 2 raw eggs

Method!
1. Spin each egg in a hard surface! 2. Observe and recorde !

Observation !
We also tried to spin them we saw that one egg is faster and two spun slower.!

Conclusion
My hypotheses matched the result really will cause one egg sun faster and the other two spun slower.

Evaluation
I think we should repeat the experiment or put more raw egg

Floating paperclips ! Question/Problem!

Does the temperature of water effect the amount of oating paperclips?!

Observation!
When the water was moving the paperclips sunk, and when the water was still the paperclips oated and the more paperclips the less water moving.!

Hypothesis
The hot water would probably not be as stable because the hot water density is more so it will not be able to hold as much and it would be harder to but them.

Materials !
Warm water, cold water, room temperature water, 3 containers, paperclips

Method!
First put each different water in the container. Then put as many paperclips as you can on each container to see what holds more and to see what is the one that is harder to put the paperclips

Observation
The hot water didn't work because gravity was bulling the paperclips it just oated for 5 seconds sand then it will automatically sink. The paperclips in the cold water joined really fast it looked like the paper clips had magnet. The room temperature water worked really will.

Conclusion
My hypotheses was perfectly right the hot water didn't work at all the paperclips stayed there for 5 seconds the it just sink.

Evaluation
Next time we should have a better tool to drop the paperclips because when we were butting the paper clips in the hot water it will burn us so Mabel we should make a taller tool to but the paperclips in the hot water.!

Popcorn vs raisins
Problem
Will popcorn or raisins oat better in carbonated and still water?

Observation

Carbonated water is bubbly. Popcorn is very light and uffy. Raisins are wrinkly.

We think that the raisins will only oat on the carbonated water because it is bubbly. We also think that the popcorn won't oat on any water because it will get soggy.

Hypothesis

Materials
Popcorn! Raisins! Lemon carbonated water! Tap water! 4 cups

Fill 2 cups up half way with carbonated water and 2 cups half way with still water.! In the 1st cup with still water, drop 3 raisins in. Wait 5mins...watch and observe.! In the 2nd cup with still water drop 3 popcorn pieces in. Wait 5mins...watch and observe.! In the 1st cup with carbonated water add three popcorn pieces. Wait 5mins...watch and observe.! Finally, add three raisins into the 2nd cup of carbonated water. Wait 5mins...watch and observe.! Write down the results.! Repeat the test again using different amounts of water for accurate results

Method

Observation

! We got half of our hypotheses wrong because we thought that the popcorn wouldn't oat at all because it will get too soggy and it got soggy, just didn't sink. The other part of our hypothesis for was correct because the raisins in the lemon carbonated water oated and the normal water raisins sunk. We learned that popcorn's density is less than raisins.! !

Conclusion

Evaluation

! Next time we should use tweezers to put the popcorn and the raisins into the liquids so that it will be put in gently and we can also do the experiment using a longer time period. !

Cow farting Question/Problem!

Does adding garlic to cows food redoes there amount of methane?!

Hypothesis
I think that garlic is going to work because it work on humans.!

Materials
20 cows, a tube that ts the cow, garlic, cows food, a pig room!

Method
1- Split the cows in two groups ! 2- Attach the tube to the cows! 3- Attach the wire to were they fart! 4- Add garlic to the food and give it to one of the groups for two weeks! 5- Take a sample of there fart three times a week! 6- Take the sample to the lap to see how much methane it reduce!

Variable
Different food

Best laundry detergent

Question/Problem
Which Landry detergent is the best?

Materials!
15 5*5 square white fabric, 5 different detergents, soda, BBQ sauce, coffee, washing machine.!

Method
1- rst take ve squares of the white fabric! 2- stain the fabric squares with soda ! 3- take the other ve squares of fabric! 4- stain them with BBQ! 5- take the last ve sheets of fabric ! 6- stain them with coffee! 7- Take one peace of stained fabric from each kind of stains! 8- Pour one kind of detergent in the washing machine ! 9- put the different kind of stained white fabric in the washing machine! 10- do the same thing for the rest of fabrics ! 11- creat a tally of the stains ! ! 12- judge the best with 5 the next with 4 and the next with 3 and the second last with 2 and the last one with a 1! 13- add the total for each kind of detergent ! !
