Architecture
The Switch is designed to run on the UNIX (SUN Solaris / AIX) / LINUX operating system using ORACLE as the database. Application supports High Availability fail over architecture. With increase in number of Channels and the transaction volumes, the application automatically scales up.
Monitoring
Provides a real-time picture of the functioning of the solution and it displays the status of various devices / systems / activities on a continuous basis. Facilitates monitoring of Devices, the Switch system and the Network with a facility to receive / issue instructions to execute an activity and take appropriate action. It seamlessly interfaces with the Help Desk Management system to automatically trigger the appropriate agency / person.
Transaction Switching
The Switch facilitates communication between the Channels, Bank Product Processor(s) and National / International Interchanges. The solution is designed to meet the needs of the Financial Institutions or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) networks that must switch large volumes of transactions from many/any source(s) to many/any destination(s). Supports different types of Communication Protocols (x.25, TCP/IP etc.) with different types of connections. Handles any Message Level Interface. Supports all industry standard message formats like ISO 8583, XML etc. Provides Stand-in Authorization based on Negative Files, Positive Balance Files (PBF), Preset Limits. Offers Store & Forward (SAF) facility. Interfaces with Host Security Module (HSM). Supports Hardware & Software based Security Modules.
Branch Management
Individual branches are viewed as Customer Delivery channels. This is useful in cases where Branches are accepting payments (Utility payments, Tax Collections etc.) from Customers and noncustomers of the Bank. From each of the Branches, the data is collected and then based on the transactions captured at the Branches the corresponding financial transactions are initiated to the back end applications. As all the data is collated centrally, there will be no loss of information and the data can be used for data mining and CRM purposes.

BRANCH MANAGEMENT
Integration of distributed branches and their applications to enable sharing of information and facilitating transactions between the branches, the Branch functions as a delivery channel accepting payments (Utility payments, Tax Collections etc.) from Customers and non-customers of the Bank, enables integration of networked branches (leased line, VSAT etc.) and also stand alone branches using PSTN Dial up Lines.
