Architecture

The Switch is designed to run on the UNIX (SUN Solaris / AIX) / LINUX operating system using ORACLE as the database. Application supports High Availability fail over architecture. With increase in number of Channels and the transaction volumes, the application automatically scales up.

Channel Management
The solution can drive channels such as ATMs, Kiosks, POS, Phones, Mobiles and the Internet at the same time, providing transaction routing facilities so that acquirers or processors can send transactions to different networks or issuers.

Monitoring
Provides a real-time picture of the functioning of the solution and it displays the status of various devices / systems / activities on a continuous basis. Facilitates monitoring of Devices, the Switch system and the Network with a facility to receive / issue instructions to execute an activity and take appropriate action. It seamlessly interfaces with the Help Desk Management system to automatically trigger the appropriate agency / person.

Customer Delivery Channel Solution


The Customer Delivery Channel Solution from YALAMANCHILI is designed to handle online financial transactions from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), Cash Dispensers, Kiosks, Phones, Internet Applications,Merchant POS devices and Interchanges. The solution seamlessly integrates functions of Channel Driving, Transaction Switching, Card Issuance and Management, Device and Switch Monitoring, Branch Management and Interchange Management.

Transaction Switching
The Switch facilitates communication between the Channels, Bank Product Processor(s) and National / International Interchanges. The solution is designed to meet the needs of the Financial Institutions or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) networks that must switch large volumes of transactions from many/any source(s) to many/any destination(s). Supports different types of Communication Protocols (x.25, TCP/IP etc.) with different types of connections. Handles any Message Level Interface. Supports all industry standard message formats like ISO 8583, XML etc. Provides Stand-in Authorization based on Negative Files, Positive Balance Files (PBF), Preset Limits. Offers Store & Forward (SAF) facility. Interfaces with Host Security Module (HSM). Supports Hardware & Software based Security Modules.

Branch Management
Individual branches are viewed as Customer Delivery channels. This is useful in cases where Branches are accepting payments (Utility payments, Tax Collections etc.) from Customers and noncustomers of the Bank. From each of the Branches, the data is collected and then based on the transactions captured at the Branches the corresponding financial transactions are initiated to the back end applications. As all the data is collated centrally, there will be no loss of information and the data can be used for data mining and CRM purposes.

Supports Card functions like Re-issue, Hot Carding, Closure, Renewal and Card plastic management. Supports distributed and centralized encoding & embossing of Cards, PIN printing and Letter Generation.

Acquirer / Issuer Functionality, Interchange Settlement Processing, Dispute Management.

BRANCH MANAGEMENT
Integration of distributed branches and their applications to enable sharing of information and facilitating transactions between the branches, the Branch functions as a delivery channel accepting payments (Utility payments, Tax Collections etc.) from Customers and non-customers of the Bank, enables integration of networked branches (leased line, VSAT etc.) and also stand alone branches using PSTN Dial up Lines.

INTERNET CHANNEL MANAGEMENT


Support for consumer, small business and corporate banking, Personalization and Customer Entitlement Management, Campaign Management, Multi-lingual support, Online e-Statements, Flexible framework to link new customer functions, Interface supports XML, OFX / FIX and ISO 8583 Messages.

PRODUCT PROCESSOR MANAGEMENT


Interfaces with multiple Branch Hosts, supports ISO 8583, XML and Proprietary Message Formats, supports different message and communication interfaces with different branches, Configurable Transaction Routing.

POS CHANNEL MANAGEMENT


Interfaces with different POS/EDC Terminals, Communication Methods supported include Fixed line, Dial-up, GSM, GPRS and CDMA, supports PIN and Signature based transactions and Key Exchange Management, Supports ISO 8583 and proprietary message level interfaces, M e r c h a n t M a n a g e m e n t , Te r m i n a l Management.

PHONE CHANNEL MANAGEMENT


Supports an interface to third party Tele-banking systems, Tele-banking application - ability to define transactions, link transactions to voice files, define sequences of transactions.

ATM CHANNEL MANAGEMENT


ATM Channel Driving - supports NDC+ / D912 / NDC Aptra / Triton and Proprietary emulation, Dial-Up ATMs supported, ATM Balancing based on Notes & Amount, Multiple Cash Dispensing Algorithms, Multi-lingual support, Alternate Media Dispensing, Coupon Printing and Coupon dispensing, Playing MPEG movies, Text based and Graphic screens, Flexible Screens and Screen flows at an ATM level.

MOBILE CHANNEL MANAGEMENT


Supports PULL Method whereby the Customer can request for services on the Mobile Phone, supports PUSH Method whereby the Bank can PUSH alerts / Messages to the Customers Mobile Phone.

KIOSK CHANNEL MANAGEMENT


Support for NDC+/ D912 emulation or web based or both, supports XML and Proprietary message formats, Dial-up KIOSKs supported, Online ticketing, statements and bill payments supported, Advertising Campaign Media support, Flexible Screens and Screen flows at a KIOSK level, Remote Terminal Management.
