Volvo IT has got an IT infrastructure at a global level, with more than
200 applications, about a hundred partners and a thousand users. The
migration was particularly delicate because, besides the product
upgrade, a study of the impact on processes was needed due to the
different architectures, as well as a study and implementation of custom
solutions to overcome some of the product limitations. I carried out my
work in total autonomy.

Occupation or position held People Project (Postecom, 2005) – People Project is a national-level
federated infrastructure of authentication involving Italian municipalities
and a series of Providers to ensure citizen authentication and credential
management. Poste Italiane, the first provider to develop such a
solution, asked us to design the applicative components and the
integration of the whole project. I personally designed and developed
most of the software and the integration of Framework People (software
based on SAML) in a Siteminder SSO environment. The software
consists in 2 web applications, a web service, asynchronous applications
of data exchange based on xml, components of symmetric and
asymmetric encrypting, 2 Custom Authentication Schema (Siteminder),
written in C, one of which includes authentication through 10 different
types of smart cards. The whole software (except for the custom
components of Siteminder) was developed in Java and is based on
Spring Framework.
