It is particularly noteworthy that the compliance with AEIC CS9-06 was achieved on a cable that had previously completed the requirements of IEC 62067 2006 Section 13 cable system test (reported separately). Thus it had completed a sequence of load cycles as shown in Table 1. Furthermore the 230 kV XLPE Pre Qualification Cable System has completed two sequences of impulse tests at elevated temperatures (10 positive / 10 negative).
