Engineering Manager Our client is a global premier Original Equipment Manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and overhaul application

and component provider across Europe, Middle East, Africa, AsiaPacific and North America. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a qualified Engineering Manager to join their Romanian team. Job Summary Establishing, developing, and leading the manufacturing engineering department for the manufacturing site Manages and directs the team responsible for product development and product sustaining. Manages other processes for the entire engineering function as assigned. Duties and Responsabilities Develop, prepare and implement manufacturing engineering standards and methods; Providing guidance and direction to employees on tactical matters, setting up and monitoring program/process metrics; Identifying areas for improvement and proactively driving those methodologies, techniques, and/or standards to maturity; Develop and optimize line balancing at the assembly lines in cooperation with the production supervisors; Build up prototype area and lead and manage all prototype area functions; Manage ongoing product continuous improvement activities; Ability to establish and lead the manufacturing engineering organisation and to create enthusiasm and customer-focus; Adapting tactics to resolve unexpected project complications in any facet of the effort (resources, technical, customer requests, etc.) in order to meet commitments, milestones, and/or costs; Participates in the evaluation of business opportunities from a technical feasibility and technical resource availability perspective and advises the general manger accordingly; Prepares technical proposals including material and labor cost estimates for the product development (NRE) and the recurring manufacturing cost using engineering staff and inputs from peer groups such as manufacturing, procurement and quality; Leads periodic reviews of multi-disciplinary projects using the project timeline as a focal point for discussion; Stays cognizant of technology updates in the industry as well as within the company that can offer strategic or technical advantages to the business and shares these with team; Maintains a working relationship with peers within the organization to facilitate crosscompany collaboration where beneficial. This includes lending engineering assistance to solve problems, win opportunities and/or meet delivery deadlines in conjunction with GMs support; Develops staff, maintains technical expertise, and maintains staff levels required to meet all assigned project/program requirements.

Job Requirements BS degree in mechanical engineering, advanced technical and/or business degree is desirable; 4+ years of applicable Mechanical Engineering and minimum 2 years supervisory experience; Aerospace experience is desired. Other experience in highly regulated development environments will be considered (Medical, Automotive, Military);

Ability to develop and management of all documentation generation necessary to complete, release, build, qualify, and support all assigned development projects; Experience transitioning new products into the factory; Experience supporting factory build issues; Understanding of Design-to-Cost and Design-for-Manufacturability; Design experience as a primary contributor in mechanical/pneumatic product development is required; Working knowledge of a disciplined and gated development process utilizing requirements management is necessary; Must have ability to communicate, motivate, and organize projects, and frequently under deadline pressure; Must demonstrate strong communication and written skills including proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP Systems and similar;
