This webpage provides several examples of how technology can be used in the classroom to enrich education. One such example is about a group of bilingual fifth-grade students who developed and produced videotapes and written texts focusing on minority leaders. Another example is a project middle school students completed in which students formed companies and produced products. Each team used computer spreadsheets, drafting software, and similar software to create different aspects of their respective companies. This site will provide solid evidence for an argument that technology improves education. Klein, Joel. Interview by Michel Martin. NPR. NPR, 2013. Web. 30 Oct. 2013. This interview with Joel Klein, the former New York Schools chancellor, is a very valuable source. In the interview, Klein is asked various questions regarding technology in education. One major point Klein makes towards the end of the interview is that the education ecosystem is the last to adapt to technology growth and changes. Klein pushes for more use of technology in schools, regardless of the lack of statistical data that currently exists.

Cooper 2 Mallon, Diarmuid. "Is Technology the Great Educational Leveller?" ZDNet.com. N.p., 30 Sept. 2013. Web. 30 Oct. 2013. This article discusses whether or not technology can level the playing field for children around the world to get an equal education. The author talks about how with technology, students have access to resources they have not before, and are therefore able to learn more things at a faster pace. This article would be good to quote from in an argument for technology in education. Talbot, David. Given Tablets but No Teachers, Ethiopian Children Teach Themselves. Technologyreview.com. n.p., 29 Oct. 2012. Web. 30 Oct. 2013. This is an excellent article that goes into detail about a study in which Ethiopian children, who had never before seen or used technology, were given tablets. The tablets were preloaded with learning applications to try to teach the children how to read. Astoundingly, the children were able to teach themselves not only how to read, but to hack into the tablets operating system. This article would make an excellent summary in an argument for the use of technology in education.
