I feel as if I would be a good addition to your educational team. While attending Nevada State College, I earned a degree in lementary ducation with an emphasis in Special ducation. !rom the College of Southern Nevada, I accomplished an "ssociates #egree in $ental %ealth&'sychology. !or the past several years, I(ve been a substitute teacher and would like the opportunity to take the ne)t step and become a classroom teacher within the school district. Throughout my time at Nevada State College, I completed *+ observation hours for several different classes. #uring those hours, I,ve witnessed different ways of teaching and have pulled ideas from each teacher I have watched. -ne of my observations was with a fifth grade class. I learned that it,s possible to be a fun teacher and still have good classroom management. This is the kind of teacher that I have been working on becoming, have fun, but be able to settle down and work when the time comes. "nother one of my observations was in a science only classroom. The teacher taught science all day to all grade levels. The teacher allowed me to help with the science classes, which allowed me to have a better working knowledge of how to include in.uiry science practices into my classroom. I feel as though I can offer my students the best of all the classes that I have been in. I,ve seen a couple of great classroom management techni.ues that I will definitely be using. With the .uality education that I received from Nevada State College, I feel that I,m more than prepared to take on a position at your school. While attending college, I also worked for CCS# as a substitute teacher in a variety of different grades and classes. #uring this time, I was also a /irl Scout leader for my daughters working with several girls ranging from kindergarten up to high school age on getting their badges and community awareness. I also run different functions through my church. !or several years, I was in charge of the "utumn !estival and have been in charge of coming up with snacks and themes for 0acation 1ible School. I would like to keep working within Clark County School #istrict. I feel as though I can offer any school a .uality teacher who engages and motivates students in the classroom. With my background knowledge, I would be an e)cellent asset to have on your staff. !inally, I feel that I would be a valuable
