Papers for ICAER 2013 will be selected for oral or poster presentation on the basis of peer review. Soft copy of the paper can be submitted online. Detailed instructions for abstract and paper submission are available on the conference website. Final camera-ready paper should be submitted online.

Introduction
The global energy concerns of depleting fossil fuels and climate change put forward great challenges for the researchers. The Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay announces the 3rd International Conference on Advances in Energy Research to provide an excellent platform to exchange new ideas, discuss new developments and finally look at the challenges lying ahead in the energy sector.

location
IIT Bombay is conveniently located at Powai, which is an eastern suburb in the northeastern part of Mumbai. Mumbai is capital of the state of Maharashtra and is an important commercial and entertainment hub of India. The campus is easily accessible from railway station and airport. International flights land at Sahar Airport which is about 7 kms from IIT. The Domestic AirportSantacruz is about 10 kms.
