Bible: We will continue talking about the Christmas story and the miraculous birth of our Savior. Math: We will finish chapter 5 which focuses on counting, reading, and writing numbers 11-20, and we will take our chapter 5 test. Social Studies: We will continue learning about rules and laws and how they keep us safe. Reading: We will continue reading Christmas stories and will even have some special guests come and read to us (Mr. Clum, Mr. Burgess, and Mr. DeMoulin). Handwriting We will continue working on first names using upper and lower case letters. We will learn how to write the letters Zz and Qq and will also be reviewing how to write the letters Xx, Zz, and Qq.

We have started to work on rhyming in class and will continue to work on this. Several of the children could use some extra practice with this concept. Please be working with your child on rhyming at home. Thanks! Please send in your childs gift for the children in the Dominican Republic by Friday. You can send your gift in early if you are able to. Thank you!
Please send in a paper bag with handles for your child to take home their Christmas items. You will need to send this to school by Friday, and you may send it early. Please also write their names on the outside with bold black letters.
