Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly...

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. -Psalm 1:1-2

Campus News
Changes, changes, changes...it's hard to know where to begin! Some of the most obvious upgrades are to our physical buildings. Over the last year we have updated our ladies' dorm rooms, painted the dining hall (which is now also the student lounge and chapel), painted NEMO, and moved and renovated the classroom to below the Gym. Pray for us as we raise the remaining funds to finish: -the last ladies' dorm room, -ladies' dorm hallway, -re-shingle the roof, -and the audio/video upgrade to the classroom. Also spread the word about the WOL Youth Camp 5K/10K Run May 17. Feel free to stay and watch or help out as we raise funds for the Youth Camp Scholarship Fund.

Next up are the plans for the Mens' dorm and the library. We really appreciate your prayers for wisdom as we plan and build for the future.

Next Month
Can you imagine - no name tags, ties, or D-points?

Blast from the Past

Remember Bible Survey? It all started in the book of Genesis. Moses over 3000 years ago wrote of the promise given to Adam and Eve at the Fall. In Gen. 3:15 God speaks to the serpent saying, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel." (NKJV) A promise given so long ago and often forgotten. The other day Quiet Time was a great reminder of all this "Seed" came to do. Jesus has conquered death and will one day undo all the effects of the curse and Satan's schemes. Remember 1 Cor. 15:54-57 tells us, "...Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?...But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (NKJV) Paul's encouragement as he concludes this passage is so perfect. Verse 58 goes on to exhort us to "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (NKJV) So based on what Jesus has done, the victory He has won, we can have victory over sin and in our service! As we celebrate this special time of giving, let's remember more than a baby Who has come, more than a Son that was given. Let's remember the power over sin and death and hell that was won by our Saviour at the cross. Let's live this freedom from sin, let's live like we have a blessed hope of an eternal future, and let's serve with unfailing commitment, diligence, and passion to make Him known this holiday season! And remember, it is always worth it to follow Christ!
