Dear Parents,

MERRY CHRISTMAS I would like to take this opportunity to wish our school a very merry and happy Christmas over the holiday break. I hope you get the opportunity to have a good rest over the break and come back in the New Year refreshed! I would also like to say a huge thank you to all our parents who have spoken to me as I have found you all to be most supportive over the term. Many thanks indeed!

TOY MORNING - FRIDAY Children are invited to bring a game or a toy which they can play and share with others. I will ask that children do not bring any item that requires a plug for use. Previously children have been allowed to bring their IPod or tablet, however these are expensive items and I would ask parents to use caution. The school will not be responsible for any breakages that occur. This morning is designed to allow children to enjoy games being played together and for there to be a sociable aspect. Board games and groups games (such as Twister) are ideal for a really successful experience here! WHOLE SCHOOL PANTOMIME CINDERELLA A reminder that children in Classes 1 to 6 will be attending a wonderful performance of Cinderella today at the th Charter Theatre on the 18 December. Children are invited to bring a drink (not fizzy!) and a packet of sweets (not family size!) to enjoy during the performance. It would be so easy for us if you could put these in a named polythene bag so that we can keep track of all refreshments. We will be departing at 12.30pm after enjoying an early lunch and returning at approximately 4.15-4.30pm. Children will be brought into school after they have returned to collect their lunchboxes and bags, and they should then be collected by parents in the usual way from their classes with teaching staff confident of their safe delivery to you. CHRISTMAS PARTIES Christmas parties are tomorrow on the Thursday 19 December with the infant party at 10am and the junior party in the afternoon at 1.30pm. They will be held in the school halls and we have invited a wonderful entertainer, called Andy McGee, who will be joining the children and staff. Children will be invited to wear their own clothes on this day to help them enjoy the event even more! This is a free event as it is to be funded by the PTA.

REPORT CARDS END OF TERM At the end of this term, you are to receive a report card giving you a brief update on your childs attainment and effort. The teachers would be most grateful if you would sign this and then return it at the start of next term . It is a card which will accumulate information over the year and will be sent to you again at the end of the spring term. SCHOOL DINNERS Please can you let the school office know if you intend to have school dinners next term. It would be most helpful in helping us be organised after the holiday. CHOIR VISIT - MORRISONS The choir are to visit Morrisons Supermarket next Thursday morning at 11am to sing carols and Christmas songs. We are also hoping to take them to Walton House Care Home at the corner of Duddle Lane on the way if possible. We would love to see you there if you have a bit of shopping time available at 11am! FOOTBALL/RUGBY KITS Please can you make sure if your child has a school football/rugby kit at home that it is washed and returned to school as soon as possible we still have a few outstanding and they are to be needed soon for forthcoming events.
