Work Experience : A) Greenfield Projects :

Develop and prepare optimised plant layouts ( plot plan ) through the conceptual study and FEED phases of projects using sound documented reasoning and innovative techniques. cost focus approach in driving the layout development in a way that minimises installed plant operation costs, whilst ensuring that constructability, operational, safety and maintenance requirements are appropriately addressed Present and discuss plant layout issues with clients, in a highly professional manner providing sound constructive advice. Review of basic engineering package / ITB and checklist in detail and identify queries in details with supervisor and ultimately client. Read contract instructions, project design basis, clients standards requirement, applicable codes and standards, local regulations and interpret the requirements and convey the same to task force members in the form of work instruction or piping design basis. Preparation and checking of plot plan & equipment layout with innovative techniques and work practices to ensure cost effective design. Preparation and checking of statutory approval drawings / layouts in India i.e. CCOE, IBR & Factory Inspectorate. Participate in the planning of man-hours, resources and organize the preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR).

Responsible for the execution of assigned work, in accordance with applicable standards and procedures, and within the man-hour budgets/schedule targets. Piping study of critical lines to fix the equipment locations and associated structures /items from specific process, operating, maintenance and construction criteria / considerations. Preparation and checking piping design basis, piping specifications & standards. Participation in constructability review with other disciplines and ultimately with the client. Conduct and attend 3D model review (30%, 60% & 90%) with client at various stages of the project. Participate in PSSR review with client. Participate in HAZID, HAZOP and risk reviews meetings in-house and with client. Review of 3D model from following point of view P&ID requirements, safety and integrity requirements, operation & maintenance requirements, good engineering practices and clients comments / requirements. Supervise team of engineers and designers for execution of piping work scopes. Review of all the piping studies and other work done by task force members. Review of all the piping engineering deliverable / non deliverable documents from technically and quality point of view. Piping design calculations: dyke wall sizing, pipe thickness, and branch reinforcement. Preparation and checking of equipment nozzle and platform orientation drawings and pipe support cleat data of equipments. Preparation of Underground conceptual layouts for pressurised piping, drainage piping like Oily water sewer, contaminated water sewer etc. Checking of piping Isometrics, piping GADs and stress sketches. Perform, coordinate & review piping material take offs (MTO) activities and provide necessary details for further procurement activities. Perform TBE for all piping items. Preparation of piping material specification and piping class as per project requirement. Preparation of valve datasheets and also piping special items datasheets. Selection of piping valves. Vendor drawing review: All piping items as well as other discipline vendor drawings (eg : Pumps, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Towers, Hot Oil Heaters, Vendor packages etc...) Get involved on day to day basis with 2D & 3D designers, material engineers and stress & support engineer to check & support the overall progress. Prepare and issue engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-disciplinary design checks (IDCs). Review and integrate comments and inputs of other engineering discipline into the relevant documents. Interdepartmental coordination with all discipline for input / output requirement. Review and comment other discipline drawings (IDCs) from piping layout and safety point of view. Interface and provide clarifications, guidance and technical support to construction and commissioning teams as required. Clash checking and resolving the same. Weekly progress reporting in in-house developed reporting software.

Brownfield Projects:

Identify & quantify the scope of work for MoC. Prepare of man-hour estimate for the scope of work. Preparation of TDR. Prepare engineering queries and deviation request as and when required. Participate in 3D model review, constructability review and design review with client. Perform discipline and inter discipline checks of drawings and documents. Preparation of engineering requisitions for piping bulks, speciality items, and fabrication and installation work scopes. Perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) for all piping items. Review vendor drawings, documents and design calculations. Interface and provide clarifications, guidance and technical support to Construction and Commissioning teams as required. Supervise team of engineers and designers for execution of piping / mechanical work scopes. Weekly progress reporting in in-house developed reporting software Participate in Hazid, Hazop and risk reviews meetings in-house and with client. Assist procurement in developing procurement plan and approaching different vendors per project requirement. Vendor drawing review: All piping items as well as other discipline vendor drawings (eg : Pumps, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Towers, Hot Oil Heaters, Vendor packages etc...)
