ANALYSIS OF A FIFTH-ORDER RESONANT CONVERTER FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE DC POWER SUPPLIES

DOMAIN
Power electronics

OBJECTIVE:
The proposed fifth-order resonant converter is able to effectively reduce the range of phaseshift angle from no load to full load for a fixed-frequency phase-shift control approach.

INTRODUCTION:
The power transformer, used in switching converters, is one of the most complicated components in the converter analysis. There are two main control techniques used to regulate the output voltage of the resonant converters. The first method is the variable-frequency (VF) control method and the second method is the fixed-frequency phase-shift control method. The full bridge switches in the proposed converter operate under the ZVS condition for the all operating conditions.

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: MATLAB SIMULINK Or cad / PS Pice

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: o PIC Controller

EXISTING SYSTEM:
AIM:
The existing method is 4th order LCLC resonant converter with a capacitive output filter using the state-space approach.

METHODOLOGY:
The LCLC resonant inverter is a forth order resonant topology is used.

DISADVANTAGES:
In the state-space analysis of the resonant converter, the power loss of the elements has not been considered. The output capacitance of the MOSFET has been withdrawn in the analytical model, but in the simulation and the experimental prototype, the MOSFET output capacitance affects the behavior of the resonant converter

PROPOSED SYSTEM:
AIM:
The proposed fifth-order resonant converter can effectively reduce the range of the phase-shift angle required from no-load to full-load conditions.

ABSTRACT:
It increases to maintain the series resonant current lagging angle. An increase in the switching frequency results in more losses in the magnetic and drive circuit. zero current switching (ZCS) at turn-off and avoids any reverse recovery losses in the output diodes. The Soft switching of the full-bridge MOSFETs and soft switching of high voltage applications. the fifthorder resonant converter has an inherent gain of more than unity.

METHODOLOGY:
The fifth order resonant converter is used method for LCC and LCLC with a capacitive output filter.
