Reason: We can speak some english already, which is a good thing since we are building our career in tourism industry. However, tourists are from many countries and they speak different languages so it will be our advantage if we can speak others languages beside English. In order to choose the right one we need to know the majority of tourists nationality who come to Thailand. Therefore, we should take a look at this tourism record.

Summary: In the whole record, there are many nationalities who come to Thailand but we choose only the nationalities whose their languages are essential for us to learn. There are Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Italy, Russia and Spain. In this report we will compare the data collected annually from 2009 to 2012. At first, in 2009 Japanese group is the leading tourist while Chinese group accounted a little bit more that three quarters million. Since 2010, Chinese tourist has had the largest number of the other seven country and keep rising from nearly 1.2 mils to about 2.8 mils two years later. At this same time Korean tourists number is also increasing with about half a million but still slightly less than Japanese group. European tourist group who has the largest number than others is from Russia since 2010 while before then, German is the largest. Russian tourist keep increasing every year and nearly reach the same number with Japanese in 2012. Italian tourist remains at the lowest number in every records after Spanish. At these same times French tourist keep its numbers around five hundreds thousands. Overall the general trend of tourists come to Thailand is increasing every years. The largest group is always Chinese and its number is rising every year while Spanish group remains at the lowest. So we can conclude that the languages that we recommend are Chinese and Russian, another is German. When AEC open, the Tourism Authority expects more and more tourist from these countries. We recommend that you prepare yourself and choose one out of these foreign languages.
