Project Report Laura Ireland From the outset, we had a clear vision as a group of the product we wished to develop

p and advertise. After experimenting with a few ideas and creating some initial concepts, we decided on the production of Knob-head Repellent, and elected our director and production manager. We were all assigned roles and agreed on completion dates for each stage of production. I was heavily involved with a lot of the pre-production work, from initial research to concept art as well as character, logo and product design. I was also in charge of creating character sheets in order for everyone in my group to be able to animate our characters consistently and in the same artistic style within our final animation. I was also assigned the position of key framing and completing the final animation of one of our storyboards. Overall, I feel production went well especially as we had a good director with a clear vision and strong concept for us to base our work on. Creative freedom and the contribution of ideas was strongly encouraged and taken into consideration for our final animation. I also felt we had a strong director in the sense that aid and suggestion were offered throughout the project, as well as a strong understanding and explanation of the work that needed to be produced with clear guidelines on how to do this. Work was distributed equally between all team members with individuals strengths and preferences used to contribute to the production of our final animation. Our final animation was also split equally between the group with all team members given the opportunity to key frame, colour and animate. I feel our group could have been even more effective if all team members had be present on a consistent basis and attended all meet ups. Although we did maintain our deadlines, I felt some of the pressure placed on the group could have been relieved if it was not for a lack of commitment from one individual in particular. Despite having arranged meetings set up by our production manager, I feel a more structured schedule would have enabled us to use our time more effectively and given all a clearer understanding of the work that still needed completion and the time scale in which wit had to be produced. This is as meetings were arranged however they were inconsistent and not timetabled on a weekly basis at a set time. In conclusion, I feel there was a good team work ethic throughout with the majority of the group pulling their weight in order to produce a strong piece of animation which adhered to the project brief.
