The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. HEBREWS 13:11-13

IV. WHAT DOES GOD WANT ME TO DO? 1. ADMIT THAT GOD HAS NOT BEEN FIRST PLACE IN YOUR LIFE AND ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness . (1 John 1:9) 2. BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED TO PAY FOR YOUR SINS AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD, AND IS ALIVE TODAY. If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) 3. RECEIVE GODS FREE GIFT OF SALVATION. DONT TRY TO EARN IT. Our relationship to God is not restored by anything we do, but on the basis of what Jesus already did for us! For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9) 4. INVITE JESUS CHRIST TO COME INTO YOUR LIFE AND BE THE MASTER (LORD) OF YOUR LIFE. Yet all who received Him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husbands will, but born of God. (John 1:12-13) Jesus says, Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in... (Revelation 3:20) That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
Salvation Statement: We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the only sufficient payment for their sin. A SIMPLE PRAYER Dear Jesus, thank you for making me and loving me, even when Ive ignored you and gone my own way. I realize I need you in my life and Im sorry for my sins. I ask you to forgive me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Please help me to understand it more. As much as I know how, I want to follow you from now on. Please come into my life and make me a new person inside. I receive your gift of salvation. Please help me to grow now as a Christian. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13) ASSURANCE OF SALVATION: HOW CAN I KNOW THAT I AM A CHRISTIAN? God wants you to know for sure that you are saved. He does not want you to live your life with constant uncertainty. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:13) I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life (John 5:24) And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (I John 5:11-12) The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children (Romans 8:16) Jesus never asked His disciples to remember His birth. But He did instruct them to remember His death and resurrection. He gave the church two visible symbols (called ordinances) as reminders of His death. These two ordinances are: Baptism and The Lords Supper.
< CCC and its covenant members believe, teach, and practice believers baptism by immersion. The
Bible teaches that faith is to precede baptism, that baptism is a conscious, voluntary act of obedience, identification and submission on the part of the believer. For further information on Baptism, please see the enclosed CCC Baptism.
< The Lords Supper is a simple act. It serves as a reminder, symbol, and statement of faith for believers
of Jesus. A believer should go through a process of self-examination and confession prior to taking the Lords Supper. For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me. For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lords death until he comes. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Pass
Weve taken to the streets believing what Jesus said in John 20:21, As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. In 2011, the mission of CCC moved forward in many exciting ways. We were blessed to journey with people who placed their trust in Jesus as Lord & Savior, celebrated baptisms together, built intentional relationships, carried each others burdens, assisted our parents to train up children in Jesus, participated with students as they leaned into the teachings of Christ in radical ways, served our community through multiple CCC LoveShelbyville opportunities, and continued to invest in gospel centered local/state/international partnerships. In 2013, we continue to place a high emphasis focusing our efforts externally and joining Jesus outside the gates. Lee Bean, the Founder and Director of the local mens homeless shelter, has joined our staff as the Love Community Director to strengthen our awareness and connection with organizations and people serving Jesus in the heart of our city. In the coming year we are believing and trusting God to expand our reach into neighborhoods through our increasing CommunityGroup ministry. As people give their lives to Christ, our desire is to see them grow into rooted disciples. Our focus on discipleship through teaching, mentoring, and training will be essential to seeing the vision multiply. Whew! Still the best part remains hearing all the personal stories of Jesus changing our community and the world one person at a time. CCC believes and looks forward to a great movement of God. It starts when Jesus changes the heart of one, which leads to transformation in our community, and ultimately the world.
LOVE GOD
LOVE PEOPLE
LOVE Community
To see our vision actualized we make our mission loving God, people, and community. We love God and connect to Him through believing in Jesus Christ. We desire to lean into the teachings of our Lord Jesus and radically follow him through the leadership of the Holy Spirit and the inspired and authoritative Word of God - The Bible. In the scriptures, we learn that Jesus greatest commandment is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. We love people through authentic, intentional, and reproducing relationships. We show our love by serving and giving generously to our city and ultimately the world. In doing so, we believe we will see real change in hearts. We continually ask the question, If Christ Community Church no longer existed, would we be missed? Mark 12:30-31, I John 3:23, 1 Timothy 2:3-6
continually ask the question, If Christ Community Church no longer existed, would we be missed? What Does missional mean? A missional church takes a go and be vs. a come and see approach. As sent followers of Jesus we are focused on a movement not a monument. We know that Gods word and message does not change, but culture does. CCC believes in engaging, serving, and connecting with our community by joining Jesus where the action is. In doing so, we make our goal to reflect the Lordship of Jesus in our daily lives to make an impact in our community and the world. Is CCC affiliateD with other churches? Yes. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), the Kentucky Baptist Convention (SBC). Each SBC/KBC church operates independent of each other. There is no denominational control or hierarchy. Each church is self governed and determines its own affairs. Connecting with SBC/KBC allows us to identify with other Christians around the world that are highly committed to the Bible and the privilege of cooperating together to mobilize local, regional, and national missionaries. Through the SBC/KBC Cooperative Program we help support over 9000 full-time vocational missionaries in 104 countries around the world! When & Where Do you meet? Christ Community Sunday Gatherings take place at Southside Elementary located near downtown Shelbyville off 7th Street at 728 Ginkgo Drive. This weekly gathering starts at 10:00 a.m. CCC also offers smaller gatherings called COMMUNITYGROUPS, which meet throughout the week at various times/ places. You can learn more about COMMUNITYGROUPS here. CCC also offers continual opportunities to participate in various & ongoing service projects to share the love of Christ with Shelbyville. What is a CommunityGroup? COMMUNITYGROUPS are small groups that meet throughout the week. COMMUNITYGROUPS have made a commitment to connect with God by pursuing Christ together. Each person is cooperative and dedicated to being open and honest with the group during regular meetings and throughout the week. Joining a group is not mandatory, but rather a choice to care for each other, grow spiritually, and strive to make a significant and positive impact on those around them and in our community. COMMUNITYGROUPS help us to become closer followers of Jesus and encourage us to live life daily on mission for God in our individual lives.
Do you offer chilDcare During gatherings? Yes! We love kids and believe they are an essential part of our community. CCC believes that children best learn spiritual truth in ways appropriate and relevant to their age and stage in life. During our 10 am gatherings we offer creative small group settings for age groups from birth through 5th Grade. What shoulD I eXpect? You should expect biblical teaching, worship & prayer, hearing peoples stories, baptisms, opportunities to serve, and a real sense of authentic community. Our hope is that you feel very welcomed! What is the style of worship at CCC? CCC focuses on people encountering the transforming presence of God through gathered or corporate worship. For CCC, worship is not a music style, but rather a life style. What shoulD I wear? There is no set attire. Wear what you find comfortable. Does CCC have stuDent orienteD activities? CCC offers student COMMUNITYGROUPS during the week. CCC believes in age appropriate mission and ministry involvement and encourages families to be on mission together. What organiZations Do you support here & arounD the worlD? Presently, we support the Open Door of Hope-Mens Homeless Shelter, ALC Pregnancy Resource Center, and Operation Care, Victory Baptist Church, UK Campus Outreach, SBC (International) & KBC (State) Cooperative Programs. We also support other local outreach ministries monthly with our service projects and will be seeking ways to give more frequently to additional local organizations.

THREE:
ents
< MOST RELIGIONS & BELIEFS ARE BASED ON ONE OR mORE SOURCES OF AUTHORITY:
1. EXperience People sometimes structure their beliefs by their senses, feelings, and emotions. Paul said in Colossians 2:18, Do not let anyone disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 2. Intellect People sometimes seek to determine truth by their ability to reason what is right or wrong, good or bad. In 1 Corinthians 1:18 Paul wrote, For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate. 3. TraDition People sometimes structure their beliefs by those which have been important to their ancestors. In Colossians 2:8 Paul wrote, See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. 4. Scripture God has revealed his truth in written form. That truth is our final, ultimate authority. Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. God gave us a mind and intellect and He expects us to use it. God gives us experiences, and He expects us to consider them. Some things are unchanging, regardless of passing centuries. Some traditions - especially those based on Scripture - are worth preserving. But neither intellect, nor experience, nor tradition should become our ultimate authority for faith! At Christ Community Church we stress the importance of the Scripture being our ultimate authority for faith and belief. We strongly believe in this principle: Believe all you believe because of Scripture not because of any person telling you it is so. In Acts 17:11 it states that the Bereans received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
Baptism FAQs:
Who ShoulD Be BaptiZeD? A believer is someone who has realized that their sin has separated them from God. They have given up all efforts to reach God through good works or religious activity. They have concluded that Jesus death on the cross for their sins is the only thing that can bridge the gap between them and God. A believer is someone who has decided to trust Jesus alone for salvation. This is described in Scripture as, the new birth, a new creation passing out of death into life, transplanting from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son, a death and a resurrection. (John 3:3, John 3:16, John 5:24, 2 Corinthians 5:17) If you have come to that point, then you are ready to be baptized (Acts 2:41; 8:12-13). How Does CCC practice baptism? Christ Community Church and its covenant members believe, teach and practice believers baptism by immersion. Why Does CCC practice baptism by immersion? Baptism by immersion most beautifully portrays the believers personal salvation experience. Each believer, by the act of public baptism, tells all who witness, I have placed my faith in Jesus, my Savior, who went down into death for me, as I go down into this water; Who was buried and rose again in my behalf, even as I am buried in this water and raised up to live for Him. We practice baptism by immersion as a testimony to the believers experience of death to the old life of sin and resurrection to a new life; an experience based upon the vicarious death and resurrection of Christ. What Does the worD baptiZe mean? The word BAPTIZE translates the Greek word BAPTZO. Literally, the word means immerse. Multiple Scripture references emphasize baptism by immersion (Mark 1:5; Mark 1:9-10; John 3:23; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12). Why ShoulD You Be BaptiZeD? 1. To follow the example set by Jesus. (Mark 1:9) 2. Because Jesus commanded it. (Matthew 28:18-20) 3. It demonstrates that you are truly a believer & follower of Jesus. (1 John 2:3)
When shoulD a person be baptiZeD? The New Testament uniformly teaches that faith is to precede baptism, that baptism is a conscious, voluntary act of obedience, identification and submission on the part of the believer. John the Baptist baptized only repentant adults (Matthew 3:112). The apostles baptized only those who evidenced a profession of faith according to the Commission of the Lord (Matthew 28:1820; Acts 2:4142). Who can baptiZe? The administrator for each baptism is selected and affirmed by Christ Community Church. Matthew 28:19 provides the Scriptural declaration that each person is to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. What About ChilDren? The New Testament shows no example of baptism when the candidate did not request it. All instances of baptism followed an individuals decision to trust Jesus alone for salvation (Acts 2:41;8:12; 10:47-48). CCC will wait until a child can understand and believe the gospel, to trust Jesus alone for salvation, and to understand the proper meaning of baptism. CCC offers family and baby dedication services. As the purpose of baptism is to publicly confess your personal commitment to Jesus, it is strongly recommended that every Christian person be baptized as an adult believer, even if you were confirmed as a child. What About Infant Baptism? In the Bible, we find parents bringing children to Jesus. He held them, prayed for them and told us to welcome them. But He did not baptize them, and He did not tell anyone else to baptize them. It is biblical to wait until after a personal decision to trust Jesus for salvation has been made by the child. If baptism signifies salvation, as the Bible teaches, only people who have intentionally received salvation should experience baptism. How Do I get starteD? If you have believed and trusted in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we celebrate with you! Now, as the first step of obedience we recommend baptism. Please speak to your Life Group leader or a church Pastor/Elder to make arrangements.
CCC Essentials:
CCC focuses on obeying the Lord Jesus and fulfilling the mission He has entrusted to us: love God, love people, & love community. CCC deeply desires, as our Heavenly Father does, to see the good news of Jesus reach all people; beginning in our community. For the leadership of CCC, it is essential to respect and protect CCCs theology and doctrinal position. Our leaders maintain focus and order in their respective groups and ministries. At times, they may be called on to deal graciously but directly with those who have an agenda to change the churchs doctrinal position or who knowingly or unknowingly distract ministries from their defined focus. Therefore, we do take a firm position on our essential beliefs. However, we recognize and value diversity of perspective and thought for those non-essential beliefs and thus we practice liberty. CCC Leadership will stand guard so as to protect against that which could cause division and/or an atmosphere of judgment and argumentation instead of love and service. CCC has stated its essential beliefs in the CCC Belief Statement and further by affirming the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty;in all things, charity. (See attached Short Form CCC Belief Statement).

Community KiDs:
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (Proverbs 22:6) COMMUNITYKIDS is here to provide a safe and fun environment that will lead your child to follow Jesus. Its our honor to partner with you in this task. We operate with four core values: Safety We will provide a safe environment for children to enjoy. We want children to be safe and feel safe, and parents to rest assured that their child is well cared-for while they are in the service. For this reason, we obtain applications and background checks on childrens leaders CCC practices the two adult rule. Fun We want your child to have fun! Our desire is to see your child have such a good time they will be begging you to come back next week. We believe creating this fun environment for kids will help children learn more about Jesus. We use games, crafts, props and creative stories to communicate the message, and we think its okay to have a good time at church. Truth We dont want to simply entertain children, and were not here to babysit. We want children to learn about Jesus. Lessons about Christ and the Bible will be age appropriate and will help them understand Gods love and plan for their life. Team We believe that what happens at home is just as important as what happens at church. COMMUNITYKIDS is partnering with parents by providing resources, support, and encouragement as they lead their families from where they are to where God wants them to be. KiDs Environments COMMUNITYKIDS follows the Shelby County School Board policy in placing children in the proper environment. In the event a child is home schooled, we will place them according to the grade that they would be in if they were enrolled in public school. Each group is represented with an animal mascot.

Pre-Preschool 2 years old through 3 years old Preschool 4 years old through 5 years old Elementary Kindergarten through 2nd grade Elementary II 3rd grade through 5th grade
Checking In Your ChilD All regular attendees and first time guests will check in at the Check-In Desk.
< Please take your child to the bathroom before checking them in. While we will take them to the
restroom if needed, its much easier for you to do it before the Sunday Gathering begins. < First time guests should fill out a registration card at Check-In Desk. Parents will receive a sticker with a unique number at classroom door. The child receives the other half of that sticker. < Regular attendees do not need to fill out the registration card again. Simply fill out the sticker and proceed to the classroom entrance.
Entering the Classroom < If a diaper and/or diaper bag is left with the child; make sure that the diaper bag has a nametag on it. The parent is asked to write his/her childs full name using a permanent marker on all bottles, pacifiers, diapers and/or cups that are left with the child. < Please note any allergies on your childs registration form and name sticker under Special Instructions. < Please do not send your child with toys, handheld games, etc. Our volunteers have worked hard to prepare for your children, and there are plenty of things to do in each class. You may send comfort or security toys to help children feel safe and secure (blankets, teddy bears, etc.). During the Gathering In the event of an emergency, or should any of the staff need to contact you during the Gathering, we will make efforts to locate you in the Gathering. The security number is the unique number assigned to your child for that particular service. You will have the matching sticker portion with you. Checking Out ChilDren < You may enter the classroom to pick up your child. < Children will NOT be released to anyone other than the adult with the correct security tag. Siblings are NOT allowed to pick up their younger brothers and sisters, even if they have the security tag. Pro-KiD Policy: ChilDren in the Gathering We strongly encourage family worship and respect the decision of parents to determine when their children are ready to transition from COMMUNITYKIDS into the main worship gathering. Security In order to keep COMMUNITYKIDS a safe and secure environment for parents and children, the following security measures are constantly in effect:
< Volunteers at the doors of each classroom will match the number on the sticker of the child to the
number that the parents have. < In the event that a parent loses the sticker, that parent will be required to show identification to the childrens leader. < Every classroom will have at least two adults present. < Adult volunteers must have a completed application and background check. < Guests in COMMUNITYKIDS must check in at the Check In Desk and receive a guest badge, which must be displayed at all times.
Volunteer ReQuirements All childrens volunteers must be CCC Covenant Members and are required to fill out an application and background check authorization form. We run a background check on every adult volunteer who works with minors. Students must be in 6th grade or above to volunteer, and they are always under the supervision of an adult. Our volunteers also participate in regular training programs. Room Openings Classrooms open at approximately 9:30am. Rooms cannot and will not be opened until the necessary volunteers are in place.
Parents in the Room One of the primary values of COMMUNITYKIDS is to provide a safe environment for children each week. You may choose to stay with your child during the Gathering to provide comfort if needed.
General Wellness GuiDelines To ensure the health of children and volunteers, we ask that sick children do not attend COMMUNITYKIDS Services. The Committee on Control of Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that a child should not leave home when any of the following symptoms exist:
< Fever (over 100.4 degrees) < Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours < Any symptom of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chicken pox or
whooping cough < Common cold, including colored runny nose < Sore throat < Croup < Any unexplained rash < Any skin infection boils, ringworm or impetigo < Untreated pink eye or other eye infection < Any communicable disease < Lice, including the presence of eggs or nits These are the guidelines that we follow and we expect that a child or volunteer be free of fever for 24 hours before coming back to church. In the event of a contagious disease (lice, chicken pox, etc.) parents will be notified. MeDication COMMUNITYKIDS staff and volunteers WILL NOT administer any medication. AcciDents/Health ConDitions If a teacher encounters a life threatening situation (loss of consciousness, significant blood loss, difficulty breathing), they will immediately call 911 from a cell phone and find the parent immediately. Parents will be informed of minor incidents. DisableD ChilDren Special needs children are to be a part of the whole, not separated from the group. The child will be included in all activities offered. We will provide personal attention and one-on-one care as needed. Disciplining ChilDren COMMUNITYKIDS volunteers are always prepared and will be sensitive to childrens needs. Volunteers will
never use harsh words, sarcasm or corporal punishment. In the event that a child becomes disruptive, the parent will be notified. If there is an incident involving more than one child (biting, hitting, etc.) the childrens leader will discuss the situation with parents, but will not reveal the identity of the other child to ether parents. Crying ChilDren Crying children obviously need care and compassion. We will reassure the child that their parent will come back for them if necessary. We will contact you if your child has been crying consistently for 10 minutes. Parents that leave with children may return to the classroom when the child has stopped crying. Diapering Policies Diaper changes will be done only by a female COMMUNITYKIDS volunteer. Parents should send appropriate sized diapers and pull-ups, and possibly a change of clothes. A child is never punished for toileting accidents. Until a child is fully potty trained, parents should send them in a pull-up. FeeDing Please write down specific instructions regarding bottles or feeding at the class. Make sure all bottles, diaper bags and containers are labeled. Only adults are permitted to feed children. Bathroom Policies We observe the following procedure when taking children to the bathroom: Female volunteer(s) should walk children to the bathroom. The volunteer(s) will enter the bathroom to check to see if any adults are already in the bathroom and make sure it is clear. Once the bathroom is clear, the adult volunteers should wait outside the bathroom door in the hallway, unless a child needs assistance. The door will not be closed.

talents, and money. To this end, we ask that all Church members be cheerful and generous givers of all their resources and invest financially in Christ Community. Christ Community believes that all of our money ultimately belongs to God and generously gives away to community and world Mission causes. CONSISTENT (in sharing your life anD faith with others) We believe that one of the primary responsibilities of disciples of Jesus is to always be in pursuit of other potential disciples through life on life relationships. This begins with living an outward Gospel lifestyle, being sensitive to where God is opening doors for us to verbally share His message, loving and serving, and inviting others to begin the journey of knowing God through Christ within the context of His Church.
<With the guiding help of the Holy Spirit, I, the undersigned, covenant the following: 1. I am a Christian who has been saved from my sins by the grace of Jesus Christ. I have been baptized since my placing of conscious faith in Jesus to give testimony of my identification with the body of Christ & obedience to the Scriptures. 2. I have read and understood Christ Community Churchs doctrinal statement and agree to not be divisive to its teaching. I also understand the importance of submission to church leadership and will be diligent to preserve unity and peace (Hebrews 13:7, 17; Ephesians 4:1-3). 3. I will endeavor to maintain a close relationship with the Lord through regular personal Bible reading, prayer, fellowship and practice of the other spiritual disciplines. My journey in Christ will be evident through my regular participation in the corporate worship services and involvement in a Life or small group (Ps. 119:97, 105; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10: 23-25). 4. I will strive to properly manage the resources God has given me, including my, time, body, gifts and talents, attitudes, finances and possessions (Eph. 5:15-18; Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:1-16; Gal. 5:22-26; Proverbs 3:9-10). 5. I commit myself to the Christ Community Church and agree to aid in fulfilling its missional purpose to both live and bring the gospel to Shelbyville and beyond. I recognize that this will be accomplished by pursuing Christ Communitys vision, mission and Core Passions. 6. I commit to using the spiritual gift(s) God has given me for the building up of the church, both and Christ Community and universally (1 Pet. 4:10-11; Romans 12:1-8; 1 Cor. 12:7-31). 7. I covenant to promise unity in the Body during any of its gatherings, practice the humility and sacrificial attitude of Christ by considering the needs of others (Phil. 2:1-11), not gossiping (Pr. 16:28, Matt. 18:15-17), and seeking spiritual friendships (Pr. 17:17). 8. I covenant to follow the biblical procedures of church discipline and submit myself to discipline if the need should ever arise (Matt. 18:15-17; Gal. 6:1-5) and will not pursue any litigation against Christ Community for fulfilling its biblical duties. 9. I covenant to submit to the authority of the Scriptures as the final arbiter on all issues (Psalm 119; 2 Tim. 3:1617). God enabling me, I will strive to reflect on my commitment to this Membership Covenant on a regular basis. I understand that it is an evaluative tool, as well as an affirmation of my continuing conviction and purpose. My responsibility will be to notify the Christ Community Church leadership if at any time I can no longer commit to this covenant, or if I have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding Christ Community. 10. I covenant that, should I be required to move from Shelbyville, to find and join another church of like faith and practice in my new location as soon as possible. A member may be removed because of death, transfer to another evangelical church, personal request, or unrepentant sin.
