So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily.

News and Prayer Letter January 2014

As we write this update, it is currently -2 degrees here in Pittsburgh. Many of you are probably experiencing the same cold (or you will be soon). Praise the Lord for a warm house! Gods abundant provision Another year has passed and a new one has begun. As we look back over what God has done over 2013, we are excited about what He has planned for 2014. He has provided for our family as we began preparing for ministry in Brookline. We have seen Him provide a wonderful house that we can use for His glory. Under our countrys new health insurance, we would have seen our health plan double in price, but God opened up a possibility for us to get health insurance through PNC Bank that will be $75 CHEAPER per month than what we are currently paying! He gave us 17 meetings in churches, and 7 of those churches are supporting us monthly. We are currently over our monthly support needed on a part-time level (we would still love to get that closer to full-time support). Over and over, we have seen His faithfulness to us, and we know that your prayers have played a big role in that. Thank you for taking time in your busy schedules to think of us and pray for us. Community Involvement We had asked prayer for opportunities to get involved in the community here. God has begun opening doors. Dennis has volunteered at the community rec center. They were excited for his interest, and he has been helping out with indoor soccer. Pray for additional opportunities this year.
Bible Studies The way the holidays fell on the calendar this year made it difficult to get any consistency over the last few weeks. We will continue Bible studies this coming Wednesday night. Also, Pete and Elisabeth will be starting up a Bible study in their home very shortly. This will probably take place on a Saturday night. Pray not only for these Bible studies, but the possibility of one-on-one Bible studies starting as we continue to build relationships. Rejoicing, but sad We have already mentioned several ways that God has provided over the last year. We know at some point, we will need basic items as we begin having services (chairs, nursery equipment, music equipment, etc). We are rejoicing because God has provided several of these items and a place for us to store them. We are sad because they are coming from a church that recently decided to close their doors. It is a great reminder to us that American churches close their doors every week, which is why we are doing what we are doing. Thank you for your support. We are praying for you! Have a great start to the New Year! The Rews
