Admission Guidelines for NON - EU students to study in English, French or Romanian, in the Academic Year 2013-2014 1.

The application file should contain the following documents: a. Application for the Letter of acceptance to studies (click to open). The form needs to be filled out completely in two copies and 2 photos; b. The Baccalaureate diploma or an equivalent copy and authenticated translation in two copies (translated if the original is in another language than English or French); c. The transcript of records copy and authenticated translation (translated if the original is in another language than English or French), as well as for transfer students the transcript of records and syllabi of the university, for the recognition of previous results; d. Birth certificate copy and authenticated translation in two copies (translated if the original is in another language than English or French); e. Copy of passport pages 1, 2, 3, 4 or an official ID valid at least 6 months after the date the letter of acceptance is issued; f. Medical certificate containing: - proof of vaccination against hepatitis B; - mention of any monitoring for chronic diseases; - psychological assessment; g. Receipt for the file processing fee see section 2 h. Justifying documents demonstrating that the applicant meets the criteria for the selection of candidates (annex 1). Notes.: - Documents in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation in Romanian; - Documents belonging to applicants from non-EU countries first shall be authenticated by the Romanian Embassy in the applicants country. 2. The file processing fee of 100 (non-reimbursable) and the bank charges shall be paid through one of the following banks and applicants shall include the receipt in the application file:

The application file shall be submitted or sent by mail to the University to the following address: Universitatea de Medicin i Farmacie Gr.T.Popa Iai, strada Universitii nr. 16, 700115 Iai, Romnia. E-mailed application files are not accepted. The deadline is August 15th, 2013 (as per postmark) or the deadline for files registration at the University is August 23rd, 2013 (for the files brought directly to the University). Applications will NOT be processed after this date. 4.Candidates send their files directly to the University who evaluates the files and sends the list of the proposed candidates to the Ministry of National Education General Direction for International Relations in order to issue the letter of acceptance. The General Direction for International Relations will issue the Letter of acceptance to studies and will sen it to the University. 5. Candidates from non-EU countries must obtain the study visa from the Romanian Embassy in the country of origin which is granted based on the Letter of Acceptance issued by The General Direction for International Relations of the Romanian Ministry of National Education. 6. The Romanian citizens may choose to study in English or French, on the same criteria set for the applicants from EU member states, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation, including the tuition fees. Upon registration, candidates will submit: - The original copies of the documents enclosed in the application file; - Letter of acceptance to studies; - Passport with a valid study visa; - 4 passport-size photos. Any new guidelines from the Romanian Ministry of National Education as well as the number of places shall be communicated accordingly.
