SUNNI SCHOLARS TOOK HADITH FROM SHIMR

BIN ZUL JOSHAN (L.A) IN THEIR HADITH

BOOKS
Amed Ibn e Hanbal and Ibn Dawood narrated from Shimr ibn Dhi al-jawshan (indirectly as i
will explain) and his father Dhu al-jawshan is sahabi

The hadith dont mention Shimr but the scholars of ahlsunnah admit that the medium between
Abu ishaq (one of the narrators of the hadiths ) and Dhu al-jawshan is the son of dhu al-
jawshan : Shimr Lanatollah alih

Here is the 3 hadiths from Musnad Ahmed : Musnad Al-kufyeen :

   ‫ أ‬، ‫ أ إق اا‬، ‫ !م‬

3) '6 ‫ أ‬67‫ا‬ ‫ل =ن أ اق ذي‬5 ‫د‬0 %
0?‫ا‬
As for Abu Dawood he narrated in his sunan :

67‫ أ إق ذي ا‬، ‫' أ‬0‫ أ‬، ‫د‬%
+,‫ و‬, .‫ ا‬,/ 0‫ ا‬12‫ أ‬: ‫ل‬5 ‫ب‬
ِ 0ّ?‫ ا‬% #‫ر‬
but the interesting thing is what bukhari said :

‫ وآن‬، 0?‫' ا‬6 ‫ أ‬67‫د =ن أ إق ذي ا‬0 % ‫ل‬5
67‫ ا ذي ا‬% * :‫ أرا إ‬:‫ اق و‬D ‫ا رًا‬
Narrated Muhammed Ibn Abbad Narrated Sufyan from Abu Ishaq from Dhi al-jawshan the
father of shimr al-dhababi and his son( he means shimr was a neighbour of abu ishaq
and i believe he narrated from the son of dhi al-jawshan( meaning shimr )

Sufian also said that Abu ishaq didnt narrate directly from Dhu al-jawshan but from his
son Shimr and i dont think such information was not known by ahmed ibn hanbal and
abu dawood

So congratulation to Ahmed and Abu Dawood for narrating from this ugly creature
