The main lobby and circulation area have been partitioned off in order to accommodate construction of new walls and restrooms in that area. The main doors are closed to the public and patrons should now enter through the emergency exit just south of there which leads into the Childrens Department. To get to the Information and Reference Services desk, head straight through the double doors and it will be on your left. The Audio/Visual department is temporarily occupying the former teen area, straight ahead through the same double doors. The new study rooms, on the right, are temporarily housing staff and the circulation desk is setup in front of them. The Childrens area is next on the list for improvements so there will be no programming again in February. With so much going on in the Adult area, their programming will be very limited until the new construction is finished. New offices staff offices are being constructed (right) in the area at the front of the building, originally designated as a community room when the building was remodeled in the mid 90s. Unfortunately, the area was reclaimed for staff use and storage almost immediately after. Students use the study tables outside of the newly painted Sumner History Room (left). Shelving which previously held current magazine issues now holds new fiction and non-fiction books. 2013 tax forms have arrived and are located in the Sumner Room along the back wall. If you need help locating the correct forms, please ask the staff at the Information Desk to assist you!
