Topic: Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. There was no conflict back then with the Israelites and the Palestinians. In the 19th century the land of Palestine was inhabited by a multicultural population approximately 86% Muslim, 10% Christian, and 4% Jewish living in peace

Introduction:

In the late 1800s a group in Europe decided to colonize this land. Known as Zionists, they were an extremist minority of the Jewish population. They wanted a new homeland or refuge so they migrated to Palestine. At first, there were no problems and Palestine had peace but the alarming rate of Zionist population increased and wanted to take over the land. And so the war starts Body The IsraeliPalestinian conflict has its roots in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with the birth of two major nationalist movements of among the Jews and among the Arabs, both geared towards attaining sovereignty for their people in the Middle East. The collision between those two forces in southern Levant and the emergence of the Palestinian nationalism in the 1920s, eventually escalated into the IsraeliPalestinian conflict in 1948 In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict there are three major wars, and the first one was 1948 Palestine war, it was widely reported that the resulting war included 5 Arab armies but a less know fact was that all Zionist forces outnumbered all Arab combatants. It is important to note that the arabs did not make the first move, they only attacked the Zionist after they had committed 16 massacres at Deir Yassin. Menachem Begin, head of one of the Jewish terrorist groups, described this as splendid, and stated: As in Deir Yassin, so everywhere, we will attack and smite the enemy. God, God, Thou has chosen us for conquest., so they believe that they are the rightful owners of Palestine by the name of God and it was alright to kill all those people. By the end of the war Israel had conquered 78 percent of Palestine; three-quarters of a million Palestinians had been made refugees; over 500 towns and villages had been obliterated; and a new map was drawn up, in which every city, river and hillock received a new, Hebrew name, as all vestiges of the Palestinian culture were to be erased The second war was the 1967 war. Israel still wanted more lands to be in their control, they a six day surprise attack on Egypt to conquer the 22% of Palestine that was remaining. They were successful in doing so, meaning that they have conquered the whole Palestine. Lastly is the modern conflict today are two primary issues at the core of this continuing conflict. First was the original population of what is now Israel was 96 percent Muslim and Christian, yet, these refugees are not allowed to go. Their home or go somewhere else. Second, Israel's continued military occupation and confiscation of privately owned land in the West Bank, and control over Gaza, are extremely oppressive, with Palestinians having minimal control over their lives. ver 10,000 Palestinian men, women, and children are held in Israeli prisons. Few of

them have had a legitimate trial; and many tortures of the people which caused an escalating humanitarian crisis. Analysis Palestine originally was a peaceful place, but the Israelites went there and took over the land which originally belongs to the Palestinian people, claiming that this is the will of God, that the land is theirs. Conclusion The land doesnt rightfully belong to the Israelites; they just took over it with forces, and killed the people there, so that they can occupy the land. The remaining Palestinian people wanted to take their land back so they fought over it but still lost. Recommendation The Zionist should have asked helped from the Palestinians to regain the land that they were driven out of instead of claiming other territories, or maybe they could have shared the land instead of the bloody wars to decide who owned the land.
