(he fell in love with motorcycles bac in )*+), when her then boyfriend, now husband, bought a !onda motorcycle. ,- immediately loved riding around on the bac of the bi e, wind in my hair, holding tight and &ust being free,. said Grigoletto. At the time, she balanced an overloaded course schedule at /ong -sland 0niversity, an incredibly hectic &ob as an 1M#, studying for the M2A#s and filling out numerous medical school applications, so the rela%ation and freedom was warranted. 'ow, the beloved pediatrician and mom of two college3aged children, en&oys a day out every once in a while with her husband and their ,hog.. #he couple owns two !arley Davidson motorcycles now, a )**+ !eritage (oft #ail, and a 45)6 ))5th anniversary (creaming 1agle 0ltra 2lassic. While the (oft #ail has a more classic motorcycle loo , the (creaming 1agle is a more lu%urious bi e. ,#he (creaming 1agle is so rela%ing. -t has big cushy seats, butt warmers, and a stereo.. said Grigoletto. (he thin s that the (creaming 1agle is a better motorcycle for long roadtrips, while the (oft #ail is better for cruising around a scenic route. Grigoletto has let her love of motorcycle riding and her love of travel merge on many occassions. Grigoletto. (he$s previously been to -taly on family vacations but would love a romantic get3away without her children. Dr. Grigoletto doesn$t tell everyone about her fun3loving, motorcycle3riding alter3ego though. ,- tell a few of my patients, the ones -$ve nown for years. #hey$re usually a second3generation family, where - was the parents$ doctor too.. said Grigoletto. (he$s been practicing private medicine since she finished her residency at (t. 9incent$s !ospital in )*++. :irst, she only practiced in Broo lyn, then e%panding the business to (taten -sland and finally 8ld Bridge, where her only 'ew Jersey office is still located. Grigoletto also loves giving bac to her community. (he often allows her older patients with medical aspirations to shadow her around the office. (he nows many others in medical careers that ride motorcycles. #his led her to her newest venture. (he wants to create a motorcycling group of medical professionals. Grigoletto wants to host ,toy runs. and other such charitable events with this group. A toy run is a tradition in which motorcycle riders collect toys and deliver them to some charity for distribution to children in need, usually around 2hristmas. ,- thin it$d be a great way to give bac , have fun, and interact with my colleagues in a less wor 3oriented environment,. said Grigoletto. #oy runs often have parties or barbecues at the end destination that Grigoletto has tal ed about ma ing into a fundraiser or toy drive. Grigoletto loves her double3life, she$s a family and career woman who li es to let her hair down. ;iding a motorcycle with her husband allows her that freedom.
