Ensembles and Lessons

Dear Parent/Guardian:
As the new music teacher at St. Hilary School, I am looking forward to educating
your children and helping them to grow musically. I plan to continue offering the same
extensive variety of musical opportunities that have been available to your children in the
past.
Please consider the following activities for your child:

SCHOOL ENSEMBLES
•Choir (grades 3-8)
•Hand bell choir (grades 5-8)
•Band (grades 4-8)--for instrumentalists with prior band or lesson experience

--Groups may be divided by grade depending upon enrollment

--Rehearsals will occur once a week during the school day lunch period starting the week
of 9/22

GROUP LESSONS ($10.00 per child + cost of book)

•Percussion (snare drum/bells)
•Trumpet
•Saxophone
•Clarinet
•Flute
•Guitar (can not be rented)
•
--Grades 4-8
--Group lessons will occur once a week for a half-hour during the school day starting the
week of 9/28
--If you do not own a band instrument, you may rent one at an additional charge (more
information to follow)
*Please pay cash or check to Ms. Marlena Rudzinski before or during the scheduled
lesson time.

PRIVATE PIANO LESSONS ($20.00 per child + cost of book)

--Grades 3-8
--Student will need a keyboard or piano at home for practice
--Private lessons will occur once a week for a half-hour before or after the school day
starting the week of 9/28
--Private lesson times are Monday-Friday: 7:45-8:15 3:00-3:30
8:15-8:45 3:30-4:00
Please note: Requests for private lessons will be fulfilled based on a first-come first-
serve basis. Once all times have been taken, additional students will be placed on a
waiting list.
*Please pay cash or check to Ms. Marlena Rudzinski before or during the scheduled
lesson time.

Please return your completed permission slip to Ms. Rudzinski by Monday, 9/22.
After I have received completed permission slips, I will send additional information
regarding your child's activity of choice. If you have any questions, please feel free to
