Currently, Huawei RNP Documentation Group will deliver the latest documentation navigator regularly. The navigator is designed in the CHM format. You can link to related websites, servers, and common documents and query the names and abstracts of common documents through the navigator. The SUPPORT website and servers back this navigator by using physical storage. Different engineers may acquire different documentation of SUPPORT website and servers because of the access rights to the SUPPORT website and servers. You can also directly log in to the navigation directory of each product in the directory Support.huawei.com\Documentation\Wireless Performance&RNP&ROP, click the navigation files, and open the website by browsing the whole document.

You can download Technical Notices, Flow Systems and Templates only after logging in to the SUPPORT website, and access the servers only after logging in to China Domain of Huawei.

Huawei RNP documentation architecture is oriented to tasks and we establish an off-the-shelf documentation structure for the responsibilities and roles involved in each task. In addition to the above basic documentation, the Special Topics and Reference Documentation are saved in the corresponding directories.

Descriptions of Staff Contest I. Registration date: March 20, 2006 ---- March 30, 2006 II. Examination date: April 29, 2006 III. Notes 1) Participants

The employees recruited before October 1, 2005 must take this exam and be ranked, and those recruited after October 1, 2005 must take this exam, but they are not ranked. Chinese employees overseas have the Chinese exam. 2) Local Huawei employees have the English exam, which lasts three hours and has 300 scores in total. 3) The Chinese exam contains English level test, so all the Chinese employees (including that in regional offices) must have the Chinese exam and be ranked. (20 scores) Pre-sales knowledge (including communications before bidding, answering the bidding, preplanning and engineering planning) accounts for 60%, and after-sales knowledge (including engineering optimization, performance optimization and routine maintenance and optimization) accounts for 40%. Here, we only introduce the detailed and helpful skills activities and summaries. The feedback and suggestions are highly appreciated. The Regional Divisions must communicate with Huawei headquarter regularly about the skills enhancement activities. The skills enhancement owners of each product department of Huawei headquarter and each regional division are responsible for outputting skills enhancement plan and summary based on the template. The summaries and plans are released regularly on the Navigation of Huawei RNP Knowledge. Each new staff is specified with a tutor and sponsor of role. The sponsor of role is defined as an instructor or tutor of each role in the project. The roles and responsibilities in the project are not described here. Existing skills enhancement activities Nigeria engineer Timothy practices in Huawei headquarter. BSC6000 knowledge training (one or two nights each week in the first quarter of 2006) BTS3012 knowledge training (one or two nights each week in the first quarter of 2006) PCU knowledge training organized by the PCU maintenance team (Thursday night each week, from Nov 2005 to Apr 2006) 2. Plan of this month: Summarize and share the experience about network operation problems: Discuss about the progress of network operation probblems regularily each week and share the experience. Continue the training and communicaitons among the new employees of GSM product department. Monthly examination plan The monthly exam is conducted in the mode of "Documentation delivery + Self-study + Online Exam". Monthly exam plan According to the requirement of Huawei monthly exam, monthly exam is organized six times each year, as shown in the following table.

Existing skills enhancement activities Starting from September 2005, CDMA RNP department of Huawei headquarter organizes the learning of problem sheet together on Friday afternoon of each week at the department routine meeting. According to the feedbacks, the effect is perfect, so the regional divisions are recommended to organize the learning of problem sheet regularly. The new technology training mainly covers EVDO coverage and capacity technology and tools application based on the requirement of 3G network construction. Paul, a Uganda Huawei engineer, practices in Huawei headquarter.
