 GOVERNOR’S
MESSAGE
Hello everyone, our monthly work
parties are doing well but it is the
same members that are committed to
taking care of our Lodge home. Every
member should take an interest in the
appearance of the Lodge and more
participation in the work parties would
mean more can be accomplished. The
kitchen is almost completed but it is
an ongoing cleaning process. A lot of
time was spent to organize under the
center island. If you are part of a
kitchen crew please return the items
that you use to their proper place. The
next work party will be on Sunday Oct
4th at 9AM. I hope to see you there.
Don't forget to attend the Johnny
Charro Show and dinner on Oct 3rd.
Tickets are on sale and going fast.
I hope everyone who attended the Get-
A-Way weekend in Cocoa Beach had
a great time. I heard there were about
300 Moose on the loose at the event.
Sometimes it seems that we don't
make enough time for our families and
ourselves so we need to enjoy it when
we can.

SENIOR REGENT’S
MESSAGE
Yes, it was a wonderful time in Cocoa
- Mike and I plan to go next year. The
wonderful thing about being a moose
member is that you get to meet so
many wonderful people from all over!
We had an absolutely fantastic time -
hope that even more people will de-
cide to go next year.
October is just full of fun stuff to do!
We have Johnny Charro on the 3rd
(have you got YOUR tickets yet???) It
is going to be a lot of really good
southern food and great entertainment!
Talk to the stewards if you haven’t got
yours yet. We also have the Work
Party on the 4th—trying to get the
Lodge clean and spiffy - if we all help
it makes it a lot easier! Yeah I can
hear you - that’s fun? Actually we do
have fun and feel good about getting
SENIOR REGENT’S
MESSAGE
things done. The kitchen has been
most of the focus but there has also
been bathroom cleaning and dusting
among other things. We need your
help - please try to come out. We have
a Potato Bar on the 18th, starting
around half time during the Bucs
game (3 till 5). The FBMA state con-
vention is at Tampa October 22nd thru
the 25th. Del & Gary will here to rock
the place on both Friday and Saturday
nights. We will have a Super buffet
for only $9.00 on both nights. Again,
delicious food and great entertain-
ment! Come and party with members
from all over. The fun keeps going
thru the end of the month with our
Annual (adult) Halloween party on
Friday the 30th, and our Annual
(children's) party on the 31st at 2 pm.
As always, we need help at all our
functions, please let one of the Offi-
cers know if you can help. Remember,
by helping you can…

MESSAGE
The Florida Bermuda Moose Assoc
State Convention will be held in
Tampa Oct 22nd thru the 25th. Once
again many volunteers will be needed
to help in all areas of the Lodge opera-
tion. Those areas are cooks, kitchen
help, van drivers, door duty, table set
up with covers and place settings,
clean up, trash and anything else
needed. I will be asking everyone that
helped at previous conventions and
also looking for some new members to
participate. If I miss anyone who
wants to help please feel free to con-
tact me for any position you choose. I
will not be available to work in the
Lodge as I will be compelled to attend
all meetings and functions held at the
convention. I will be representing In-
terbay Tampa 912 and FBMA District
19 as the incoming president.

MOOSE OF THE
MONTH
Our selection for this Moose of the
Month is a relatively new member
joining the fraternity in February 09.
He used his expertise in painting by
helping choose the proper colors to
paint the building and trim. Recently
he rented a bush hog to cut down and
remove all the over growth along the
east perimeter and the tree like weeds
that had grown near the dumpster.
Now we can see down to the lower
parking lot. Thank Bro Larry
Schwartz for the money and time do-
nated to clean up the area.

VOLUNTEER OF
THE MONTH
Our volunteer for the month has been
a member since 2004. She is very
missed since she stepped down as
one of our bar stewards. Her hobbies
are arts & crafts, sewing, landscaping,
pond fish & large caliber guns. She is
our Audit chair for the second year in
a row and we are very grateful that she
continues to hold this very important
chair. Always ready to lend a hand
where needed, she is what a volunteer
stands for— she is definitely a Piece
of the Solution.
If you guessed Beverly Baylis, you
would be absolutely right. Thank you
Beverly for all you do for our Chapter
and Lodge. We so appreciate you!
