The duly filled in membership forms may be sent along2ith a demand draft for the membership fee dra2n in favour of Indian Society for Technical Education payable at 3e2 *elhi. lternatively4 applications can be handed over to the local ISTE Chapter Secretary 2ho 2ill arrange to for2ard them to the ISTE 5eadquarters. The E6ecutive Council or an office bearer of the Society authori7ed by the E6ecutive Council for this purpose4 may on application in the prescribed form admit recogni7ed Institutions of the follo2ing categories as Institutional Members1) 8niversities4 8niversity *epartments4 Colleges4 Institutes and Polytechnics offering courses in Technical Education in India or abroad at levels of *iploma/*egree. !) Engineering and Technological research institutes in India or abroad. 9) Industrial and Professional :rganisations in India or abroad having specific and active interest in Technical Education in India. ,) *epartments of Central and State ;overnments4 Statutory 1odies and utonomous 1odies that have an interest in Technical Education. $)The E6ecutive Council shall have po2er to refuse admission to any applicant 2ithout assigning any reason.

The annual interest on +ife Membership fee 2ill be distributed as follo2s for the activies of Chapters4 Sections and 5eadquarters-

1. The above mentioned distribution of annual interest on +ife Membership fee < $% p.a. is on per0member0basis. !. The admission fee for all categories of membership is retained by the 5eadquarters. 9. The nnual and Institutional Membership is retained in full by the 5eadquarters.

The proportionate share of the 1an& interest on the +ife Membership fee shall be remitted to the Chapter on receipt of the satisfactory report of ctivities and udited Statement of ccounts for the preceding year from the Chapter through proper channel. The request for the release of the Chapter share should be sent to the 5eadquarters during =uly of every year only.

The Section shall ma&e an annual report of ctivities and udited Statement of ccounts every year and shall send them to ISTE 5eadquarters during =uly of every year. The Section>s share shall be released only on the receipt of these details.

ll yearly members 2ill be given card0board membership cards. The life Members 2ill be issued plastic cards 'duly embossed) 2hich have been introduced from (ebruary !"",. The +ife Members 2ho have been issued card0board cards earlier could also get the ne2ly introduced plastic cards by 2ay of ma&ing a payment of .s. $"/0 by 2ay of a ** in favor of ISTE 3e2 *elhi payable at 3e2 *elhi. In addition4 +ife Members are given Membership Certificates. The Individual Members are issued membership cards only. The lost or damaged Membership Card0board Cards4 Plastic Cards C Certificates 2ill be replaced only on payment of .s. 1$/04 .s. $"/0 C .s. $"/0 respectively.

The E6ecutive Council shall have the po2er to refuse admission to any applicant 2ithout assigning any reason. Student Membership for2arded through ISTE Students Chapter 2ill only be entertained.
