Tierra del Fuego

Nestled beneath the Martial mountain range, between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, Ushuaia, Argentina, is the southernmost city in the world. Your Itinerary
DAY 1 - November 6

Disembark Sea Adventurer in the early morning at the town of Ushuaia, nestled on the shores of the Beagle Channel. We will travel out to the end of the Pan American Highway Route 3 at the National Park of Tierra del Fuego for walks in the Nothofagus ( southern beech) forest. The lakes and seascapes delight as the views open before us on trails through the forest. Our afternoon at the local museums includes the Natural History Museum of Patagonia, the Maritime and History Museum and the Museum of First Nations for the Yamana Culture and History Dinner and overnight - Albatross Hotel, Ushuaia.
DAY 2 - November 7

much more, before completing our visit at the archeological site to visit the remains of a Yamana settlement where rock tools, housing sites and remains from early habitation littler the grounds. We return to Ushuaia for dinner and hotel included- Albatross Hotel.

DAY 3 - November 8

Our morning catamaran trip takes us on the famed Beagle Channel to visit the lighthouse at the end of the world. The Sea Lion colony, the excellent birding of flightless Steamer Ducks, Upland Geese and shore and seabirds adds to the Patagonia Bandera (flag) Trees and more which we can experience at this iconic world destination. We share a traditional asado BBQ lunch into the early afternoon then cross the Andes Mountains to have tea by the hidden lake. Returning to Ushuaia for a grand farewell dinner at Kaupe Restaurant, voted Argentinas best Restaurant in 2006. Overnight at Albatross Hotel.
DAY 4 - November 9

Depart early into the heart of Tierra del Fuegos Patagonia Mountains. Visit traditional and historic Estancia Harberton owned by the Bridges family whose history is encapsulated in the book The Uttermost End of the Earth by Thomas Bridges. We tour the Estancia (Spanish for an enormous farm) and the historic settlement, sheep shearing barns and workshops before lunch.
