The students will come in and open to the chapter 16 homework. The teacher will circulate to make sure that every student has completed the homework. They will get credit for completing it. The teacher will lead the class in discussing the homework. They will go over each question. The students should be correcting their answers if they are incorrect or incomplete. The teacher will ask the students if there are any other questions pertaining to the homework. The teacher will introduce the worksheet that the students will be working on. There are 10 vocab words that the students have learned already for this lesson. They will be defining the vocab in their own words, drawing a picture, and relating the vocab word to something in their lives. The teacher will have an example prepared to show the students so that they have an idea of what to do. The teacher will circulate while the students are working and provide help if needed. The students will be given the period to work on the worksheet. If the class goes faster than expected, a video will be prepared for them to watch.

1. Homework (formative)-the teacher will not collect the homework but instead will give it a grade based on completeness. Based on the student responses while going over the homework, the teacher will determine whether or not the students need extra explanation on any of the material. 2. Worksheet (formative)-the worksheet will be collected at the end of class and feedback will be written directly on the worksheet before being handed back the next day. It will not be given a grade.
