BRC is a dry pre mix mineral based bonding coat to apply on smooth concrete walls and ceilings. It provides a mechanical key for subsequent layers of cement and Gypsum based plasters. Laborious hacking of concrete is no more necessary.

APPLICATION METHOD
BACKGROUND The fair-faced concrete background should be thoroughly cleaned devoid of dust, loose particles, wood pieces, mould oil etc. The suction in the background should be neutralised by applying clean potable water. Free water on the surface should be allowed to disperse before spraying BRC to avoid debonding later on.
MIXING BRC supplied in 50 kg bags has to be mixed with potable water only, in a clean plastic bucket or a clean, non-corrosive,
applied using a trowel. Spray an entire prepared area and allow some time for the applied BRC to stiffen before doubling back. Ensure that the applied BRC covers the entire surface area. A rough texture is to be obtained to provide a mechanical key for the STORAGE Conmix BRC must be stored in a dry place, off the ground and well covered. Hard or lumpy material must be rejected.
uncontaminated metal tub. To ensure a homogeneous and uniform mix, an electric agitator must be used. The amount of water to be added is 9.50 litres per 50 kg bag (i.e. approx. 19% by weight) . Add the BRC to water, turn the contents of the bag carefully adding small amounts at a time and stir frequently. Once mixed, allow to stand for 5 minutes and mix again before spraying. No further water should be added to the mix. Hard and set material should not be re-mixed or used. APPLICATION The mixed BRC should be sprayed on to the prepared background using a tyrolean box or a power pattern spray gun. BRC should not be
subsequent coat of plaster. Conmix demonstration team shall assist in these procedures upon request. SPECIAL NOTES The applied BRC should be water cured for a period of 2 days (3-4 times daily) and allowed to harden. For application procedures in case of
concrete containing microsilica, GGBS, curing compound or any special additive or special building material, kindly contact Conmix technical department for assistance.
