JUDGING CRITERIA & IDEA PLAN

1. Executive Summary Your Executive Summary needs to be clear, engaging, exciting and effective as a stand-alone overview of your Idea and must succinctly, state your case. The summary should begin your Idea, be two - three pages in length and should capture the attention and interest of the reader. It should concisely report on why and what you are communicating and the background and development of your project. The Executive Summary is literally written for Executives who may not have time to read an entire Report and therefore should be clear, logical; well organized and precise since decisions may be made based on this summary. 2. Idea Overview The Idea overview should describe the nature and purpose of the business, the origin of the concept, the current status and the overall strategies and objectives 3. Management Brief description of the proposed company structure for the implementation of the idea you are presenting 4. Products or Services Describes the features of the products or service being offered, the potential markets and benefits, pricing, current stage of development and its perceived proprietary position. Also includes your USPs and what differenti`ates you from the others. 5. Market & Marketing Strategies markets, competitive analysis, needs identification, market potential, competitive advantage, sales/promotion plans and projections. 6. Operations plans for production, delivery of the product or service, product costs, margins, operating complexities, resources required. 7. Financial Forecasts How will the idea make money? What are the future forecasts? 8. Risk Analysis (Viability of the Company) Explanation of what could go wrong and how you would overcome it. Is the plan/product/service is sustainable over a long period of time?

SUBMISSION CHECKLIST
Please ensure that all required supporting documents listed below are included in the Submissions Package and emailed alongwith this form. Incomplete documentary support may render your entry void. The Award entry submission should include the following: 1. Candidates

The Candidates Valid Student ID Card. The Candidates portrait photo (half-body shot in business suit against a solid background - high resolution, min. 1200 pixels x 1500 pixels). Copy of own or parents CNIC Card (in case under 18 years of age).
2. Other documents A completed online Participation Form. A completed and signed Idea Registration Form (Downloaded from the TiECON Lahore 2014 Website). Complete Business Proposal Template (Downloaded from the TiECON Lahore 2014 Website) in accordance with the Judging Criteria.
